i have used a stroller lock to lock my back heels together for the last 4 years, but someone on one of the Disney FB pages said that I could not use it and that if security saw it they would take it. Never had a problem. I don't lock it to anything. Any insight on this?
This is what I use
From what I understand, as long as a CM can move the stroller as needed then they won't cut them off. Although, if it is that easy to move the stroller with the lock on or cut the lock off, is the lock really doing anything?

Well for us we use it on a jogger so locking the back wheels. You can only move it by tilting it forward using the front wheel only. No one can sit in it cause it is being tilted forward so for someone trying to take it, it would be pointless and a lot of hard work to get it out of the park. So because of that the lock is keeping someone from taking the stroller. That is why I use it.
As long as they can tilt it forward to move it you should be okay. We also use a lock for the back wheels. Theft is a crime of convenience so any anti-theft measure will go a long ways when there are so many other strollers around that are easier to take off with.

make sure nothing can fall out as stroller is tilted to move. it will be moved by CMs and if it is too hard to move that is when your lock can be cut off even if not locked to something. a jogger is a lot harder to move for CMs when wheels are locked. if you see the CM in the area as you arrive I would ask if it is okay with that CM. while there getting our stroller once in MK this August did see a CM dragging a jogging stroller with a lock, not sure if that could harm stroller
