Can you still rent a stroller at the parks for "length of stay?" We did this last May and it was SO convenient...but I heard they were doing away with it. Anyone been there recently and rented a stroller for your entire length of stay? How much was it?

Each time we go to WDW we rent a double stroller from A Baby's Best Friend in Orlando. It is actually less expensive and is a much more comfortable stroller. We reserve in advance on their website, and it is delivered to our hotel before we arrive. It is always delivered in plastic after having been cleaned, and I love having it for the whole time we are there, not just in the park, and I don't have to stand and wait and for the exchange thing. (And I am glad for that; I have seen some loooooong lines!)

Last time was in November and I think it was around $75 for the week, which works out to just under $11 a day. We rent a lot of other things from ABBF also, but this thread was about the strollers.

THey have all different types of strollers, and their website has pictures of all the ones they have. www.abbf.com

Hope this helps you.

thanks so much for the link! I have never heard of A Baby's Best Friend!! I'm going to ask if anyone else has used them. That sounds like a great idea!!

Hi,
We were at WDW the first of December and the length of stay rental was still available. I do not remember the actual cost but still rather costly. My sister and I went to the Super Target in Kissimmee and bought two umbrella strollers for the cost of one day of a double. We used the strollers all week and then donated them to Give Kids the World Village, they can always use them, (I bet they would take regular strollers or doubles if you wanted to donate new or barely used). The advantage to the umbrella strollers was we had them where ever we went, very nice for a sleeping child back to the car.

snowbound thanks for that tip! I was planning on renting a stroller for a week, but I think I am going to try this as well.

I used ABBF twice with good results. The first time I rented a full size crib and single stroller and the next time I rented a toddler bed from them. Their products and service were very good.

That said...depending on the age of the kids I have also found renting park strollers very convenient. In Oct 04 I did a multi day rental and was even able to use an extra day in Oct 05 without any problems. The park strollers are so easy to push and its nice to not have to worry about getting the stroller on the bus. But I still had an umbrella stroller with me for the youngest.

Does abbf have a website or contact #. Coming from Canada and do not want to bring along or have to figure out how to buy offsite while using ME. $15 a day for stroller sounds steep to me.

Any idea what is best for a 5 yo - She usually does not use stroller anymore but never walks a park all day either.

We have used ABBF numerous times in the past and they are fantastic! What a relief to not have to schlep all the things we need. Everything is always so nice and clean and like new. DH says it's the best $ spent at during vacations, which for him is really saying something.

I like that everything is there waiting for us in the luggage room when we arrive, and as for the strollers nothing is better than having it all the time and not having to deal with the trade offs at different parks and dealing with the lines.

I was first very impressed by their website and the amount of information on it. For a business to be that meticulous with their site, I figured they were also about their products, and I was right. High praise from us numerous times!

A Baby's Best Friend is www.abbf.com. They have a single stroller for $57/week. I just checked allearsnet.com and a single stroller is $8/day with multi day rental (8*7=$56/week). I think a park rental might be your best bet princessNED. I'm not sure your DD would find the single I rented from ABBF for my then 11 month old comfy. The park strollers are big and so easy to push. When you do a multi day rental you only have to wait in line to pay the first time then you go right to the pickup spot after that. I did have a single umbrella with me for a comando style 3 night trip with my then 4 1/2 year old son last August. I was happy to have it as we did stay in the parks late and he fell asleep 2 of those nights on the bus back to the resort. I was happy not to have to carry him to the room. I then did a trip with the entire family in October for 9 nights and it was a much more laid back trip. He never fell asleep anywhere but the room.

It is often called a "legnth of stay" rental but it is really a multi day rental. You purchase how ever many days you think you need. There may be some days when you have less planned and won't need a rental.

I'm thinking the AllEars price quote is shy. . . it seems to me I remember seeing the price of strollers had gone up when I was there last (Thanksgiving). I think a single is $10/day and doubles are $18/day.

We used ABBF's single strollers for our 10 month olds and they were happy as clams; very CLEAN and comfortable with nice large canopies and full recline for naps, with a large area under for storage, and parent cupholders. Great value and wonderful service.

:)

I think it is $8/$15 when doing a multi day rental and $10/$18 when doing a daily rental.

I do agree my 11 month old was very comfy in the stroller from ABBF and we did find it very clean but I'm not sure a 5 year old would find it comfy but I don't know what they'd think of the park rental either. My kids really enjoyed them and I found them very easy to push but they do not really have a cup holder-a pocket in the back but not a real cup holder or basket.

Thank you so much for the info on ABBF. We are leaving next week with a one year old and a four year old. We are bringing the one-year-old's stroller from home but I was torn as to what to do for our four year old. She tires easily and will occassionally nap if tired enough. I was thinking of renting a park stroller but they don't look very comfy for a snooze. I'm going to rent the jog stroller from ABBF - it will be perfect for her, plus we will have it everywhere we go.

can you use the jogging stroller for a 5 1/2 yr old? he is just under the weight limit, but his legs are long. We will be doing other than WDW parks, SW AND DTD.
I am talking about ABBF site.
