Has anyone ever taken their stroller and put it in a box and send it thru with luggage??? I have always just gate checked it but I won't be needing it for the airport for the first time. So I was wondering if I could just put it in the box and tape it put name on it and send it thru.

CAN THIS BE DONE?? It isn't a huge stroller.

I'm pretty sure you can if you're not over your limit, but you might want to put some sort of "stuffing" like a blanket around it. It will get thrown around pretty good in the cargo hold.

We just put out stroller in a stoller bag and checked it as luggage. In four flights - 2 down, 2 back - we did not have any problems. Plus, with all the extra space in the bag it gives you a lot of extra room for souveniers on the way home.

I would think the chances of it getting hurt are greater then gate checking it (the way they toss those suit cases around and on top of one another.)

For me I like being able to use in in the airport also.

I don't see why you can't.

I know one year we had a very small one (the 1st time we ever flew with a child) and we were going to have it be our carry one (it was small and light enough) and they wouldn't allow it.

I once flew with a stroller in a box and they made me sign a wavier that if it was damaged they would not do anthing about it. As a box is not a proper suitcase..
I flew with a stroller in a bag and nothing was said..

The stroller arrived just fine.
