So we will be in WDW at the end of April and youngest DD will be 14 months. We will be going with my whole family (DM, Ddad, DB, DSIL, DNiece (12), DNiece (4), DNephew (11), DS, DBIL, DH, DD (5) and DD (14). :scared1: Yeah I know we are crazy.
So here is my question. Do I really need my big stroller? I was planning on taking it, I figured it would be great so that youngest DD could sleep in the parks and we would have room to put stuff under the stroller so we don't have to be packet rats. I also figured we would take the little stroller for my youngest DNiece since she is on the smaller size and will tire easily. My mom is now tring to tell me that I don't need the big stroller and the little one would do. :rotfl2:

So do I really need just the small stroller? Ours does fold up really quick and easy. We will be using WDW transit also.

I brought my big stroller once. It was a pain on a crowded bus. We brought the small one after that, but my kids never slept in the stroller, they were too afraid of missing something-LOL. We went back for an afternoon nap.

I am wondering the same thing. We are going this weekend and my son is 9 months. Our big stroller obviously is spacious and reclines all the way back for naps. We also have a smaller one that also reclines but not all the way back. I am wondering if that one would be good enough.... It would be a lot easier to carry.....

The afternoon nap thing would be great if she is melting down, but since the rest of the group is only there for 4 days (we are staying after they leave) no one else is going to want to leave the park. We will also have two larger suv's that we could use (DH probably will want to use that). I am just concerned because DD has never used a smaller stroller.

bring what you are comfortable with

if you are using disneys bus system bring the SMALL stroller

if you are driving the big one will be fine

I would bring what your DAUGHTER is most comfortable with. You will be spending lots of time in the parks, and most likely your dd lots of time in the stroller. The comfier the baby, the happier the baby. I would definately not bring a small stroller for such a young baby. We took our youngest last March and she was 17 mos. We hauled the Evenflo Aria down and managed just fine on the busses. Heck, there are people hauling huge double strollers on there. They are used to it at Disney. We are going back in May and I actually ordered a baby jogger city mini and we are taking it with us. I dont have the evenflo anymore and only have the Mac Quest- an umbrella type stroller with a bit of a recline, but there is no way that I would take that for her. She is 2 now. Maybe next time, but not this trip.

I only ever brought an umbrella stroller. I'd bring the smallest one possible it is so much easier to maneuver in crowds and on and off busses or trams. You don't have an infant so laying down isn't that important.

I vote with your Mom.

I would take the big one. It is a pain getting it on and off the buses, but that is such a small part of the day. I think your baby would be much more comfortable in the big stroller. This is the first year that we didn't have the big stroller and I really missed all of the storage space, cup holder and tray for the baby.

Bring whatever is comfortable for your DD. At 14 mos, she'll probably do some napping in the stroller, so make sure you bring one that reclines.

When my older kids were that age, I brought reclining umbrella strollers (similar to the ones that they sell in Disney) for them so that they could nap. We used those strollers for all of our trips until the kids were somewhere between 4-6 yrs old (and they still napped in them from time to time).

We bought a Peg Aria for our youngest DS when he was 17 mos. We had brought our Graco travel system stroller on two trips before that and were happy to downsize. The Aria folds up so easily - great for trams and/or buses.

I would not bring the big stroller. The problem is with all that stuff you'll stick in it - you'll need to pull that all out every time you collapse it. Also, you'll need to leave the stroller at stroller parking areas quite a bit, so think about how much you'd want to leave sitting out.

We've done fine with a smaller stroller since DS was 8 mo old.

We always bring our full size stroller! (Inglesina Zippy) We've taken DS at 11.5 months, 2 years, and 3 years. We are renting a full size for our next trip since we will have 2 kids and I dont plan to buy a double stroller. We never would have survived with just our Maclaren Quest Umbrella stroller!!

You will NOT regret your decision to bring the full size one I promise!!!!! That being said - you might consider just renting a double from Orlando Stroller Rentals to avoid having to bring the second one for your DN!
