We're bringing an umbrella stroller with us for our almost-four-year-old. It wasn't expensive - DD doesn't use strollers anymore but we wanted something in case she got tired in the parks. However, DH is 6'3" and it's very uncomfortable for him to push it. I'm 5'5" and it's even a strain on me if I've pushed it for a while. I've looked online and the only extenders I can find cost more than we paid for the stroller! Any tips on rigging more comfortable handles or links to cheap extenders?

We rigged up some stroller handle extenders out of 3 pieces of skinny pvc plumbing pipe, 2 pipe corners, duct tape, and clamps (the kind that are a circle and tighten with a screw...don't know what they are called) to attach the pvc pipe to the stroller. We used the duct tape to secure the corner pieces onto the pipe pieces. We got everything at the home improvement store. I apologize that I don't know the proper names for this stuff, we found it just by looking around.

It works pretty well, and since we bought everything in the same color, it really doesn't look too bad. But, we made ours for the strollers we keep at the grandparents' house for when they go on walks, so we did not encounter the problem of how you would remove or store this handle in WDW, for the buses and such.
