Stroller for my little big kid?

my daughter will be 4 when we go to WDW in May. we have a stroller i was planning on taking with us but the last time we took it out i noticed that her feet rub against the wheels. it's a Jeep Cherokee Sport i'm wondering if anyone knows of a taller stroller? or a stroller with longer legs so her feet won't hang so low? there is a TotSwap next month and I figured i would take her with me and have her sit in all the stroller and buy a used one but if anyone has any input i would greatly appreciate it.

My son won't sit an a stroller anymore but we'll rent a Disney stroller in the park if we need it. He is 4 years old and tall. The Disney strollers work well for him because it sits low to the ground, so his legs go in front of him and he can bend them if necessary. The downfall is that there's not really a place to hang a bag or backpack.

ive seen pictures of the ones they rent at the park they are the same thats offered at our local zoo and i am NOT a fan. its all hard plastic and uncomfortable and it doesn't recline.and im not a fan of renting a stroller when i could buy one for the same cost. ive been looking online and it seems my best option is to get a jogging stroller because the front wheel is under the stroller so her feet can't get in the way.

For that age you can't beat the citi mini rentals from apple stroller or Orlando stroller rentals or kingdom stroller or magic stroller....we have used all of those places and they are all great! Go for the cheapest for your dates! My favorite part of the rental is that you have the stroller when you leave the park...after the adrenaline rush ends and they collapse into a cranky sleepy puddle you don't have to end your night with a backache or an argument!!!!

Our dd is tall for her age (97% percentile). We got the cybex ruby and its great! The canopy is huge and adjusts really high. Her feet fit perfectly and it has mesh to keep her body cooler.

MY DS4 (very tall for his age) and DS7 are both use a Maclaren stroller. Before I get flamed, my DS7 has juvenile arthritis along with other orthopedic issues and can not walk long distances without extreme pain. We just tell them that they have to keep their feet on the foot rest or get out and walk.

Telling her to keep her feet on the foot rest will only work if she's awake. We plan on letting her nap in her stroller.

Applestroller.com rents them for 5$ a day...maybe snag a backup reservation! It's awesome to not have to take it thru the airport!!!!

We have rented several versions of this stroller (single, double, and single and double elite versions) and you won't be disappointed! For a 5 or 6 year old I usually recommend getting a GT version or an elite because they handle a higher weight (65-75lbs) and in the case of the elite the wheel well and it's breaks are not touchable by the likely to be annoying by then child...so if you are going to buy one, definitely make sure you have the growing room! (A few notes - my 73lb almost 7 yr old is 52+ inches tall...he can still fit in all city minis and our Mac quest....and has sat with his 32lb sister on his lap in the quest and it still pushes...so you probably have the room as long as the kid is trainable to not ruin your vacation having to remind about keeping the feet in the right place OVER and OVER again)....also - while we own a quest, we never use it for disney because its WAAY too tippy for us and doesnt let the kids nap as well as the other choices....we either rent a stroller ( my fav) or bring our much heavier inglesina zippy with us (DH prefers)...

(I have a just turned 3 yr old and an almost 7 yr old...we have been to Disney 9 times in 7 years with them so I have had a few goes at this!)

We almost bought the city mini but the cybex was better for taller kids , lighter mesh for cooler and folds smaller which is better for the buses. The canopy on the cybex was better too. The only downside was that it didn't recline but our dd has no problem sleeping in it.

What about the First Years Ignite? I'm not sure about height, but I've read that it's good for taller kids. They have a Minnie print which is adorable. I so want it, but don't need it. It's light and folds up small.

We have the Jeep Cherokee too, but Z can't even reach the footrest yet. Maybe you can bungie her feet to the sides so they can't hit the wheels? I really like the Jeep stroller but I envision a time when she's wigglier when I'll be wishing for a 5 point harness!

The cybex strollers have a higher canopy height but the baby joggers have higher seat back heights (and still really good canopy heights)...I think that overall both strollers hold larger kids well and it's a preference of how you like your strollers.

Both have good canopies - I don't think one is really better than the other - they both have multiple sections and have SPF and will easily protect your kiddo from just about anything to about their knees...

One is an umbrella fold and one the accordian fold in the center. Both fit in small spaces well - but differently. And both would be easy to hold on a bus or load in a car. I prefer the folding mechanism of the baby jogger because its easy for me to do while holding kids/stuff in my hands. I also think its easier to load onto the bus with the Bj vs the umbrella fold, but again - either is manageable for sure!

I don't have a lot of experience hanging a bag on the cybex to know how tippy it is...we have done that with the baby jogger and it holds up pretty well without a kid in it, and the bigger models even better...

I think you would be happy with either one of them but suspect if you are looking to buy used the baby jogger market is bigger as the cybex is just catching on and the adjustable canopy that gives all of the height and is extra big was a 2011 or 2012 feature I think?

$5 a day sound like a winner to me if i can't find one. we're not going till may so i have lots of time. i don't mind going through the airport with the stroller and DD loves to ride.

i LOVE our Jeep cherokee. that thing has taken a beating with only a few stains to show for it. someone should start selling leg adaptors for strollers!
