We don't own a stroller anymore, but think it would be a great idea to have one for our August trip.

Hoping to find a decent "umbrella" type.

Does anyone have any suggestions, sites where I can pick one of these up?

We plan on using it and passing it along when we leave.

Thanks!!

It all depends on the weight of the child. The Maclaren Volo goes up to 55lbs and folds pretty slim (from the pictures I have seen). There was a link posted somewhere on DIS that had the 2007 models for $74.99. I will see if I can find that. But the cheaper "umbrella" type strollers will not hold a heavier child.

We are taking an umbrella stroller for our 6 and 8 1/2 year old to share. Okay, before anyone says anything - my 8 year old is the size of your average 6 year old, she is about an inch taller and about 2 pounds heavier than her sister.

I'm not too worried about the weight, both girls weigh right around 45 pounds.

Can we try to have a constructive/helpful stroller discussion without shaming these parents? :) I personally can't help because mine are out of stroller size some years ago, but I remember the basic umbrella stroller only holds up to like 40 pounds.

Hi! I had trouble finding one for our last trip (DD was 6) and I finally found one after trying a ton of different ones in the stores that the Chicco Capri fit my daughter well and was only $60. I didn't want to spend a ton because we would only be using it at Disney.
She said it was comfy and her legs fit well on the foot bar (a lot of others we tried she looked all cramped and her legs didn't fit right on the bar) Oh and it folded similar to an umbrella stroller. I couldn't find a single umbrella one that fit her at all.
Good luck in your search. I will try and post a link, I got mine at Babies R Us.

P.S. My daughter is on the smaller side so that may be a factor as well, she was about 44 inches at the time.

My 9 year old is pretty tiny ( only 50 pounds) and can ride just fine in the Maclaren Triumph. She just puts her legs on the foot strap.

She has pain in her shins after walking/standing all day long and will sometimes climb in the stroller. My ds would rather run anyways than sit in the stroller so I don't mind her hopping in. It's also very easy to push when she's in it.

The 2007 Volo comes with a rain cover.

My DD is 4 1/2 and 49lbs, we have a Maclaren Triumph and she really likes it. I like that it folds up small and has a strap that makes carrying it easier. I got mine at Toys R Us last year for about $70 - I think it was on sale.
