DS will be 4 next time we're at Disney. He is already 38 pounds, so he is really pushing the weight limit on our current stroller making it so hard to push! I am in the market for a new one but am having a hard time finding what I want... Maclarens seem to get rave reviews since the weight limit is higher than most strollers, and they are definitely easier to push, but I was really hoping to find a stroller with a storage basket, rain/sun canopy, and maybe even a cup holder -- does a stroller like this exist for bigger kids??? I'm willing to give up the cup holder but not the basket or the canopy. ;)

We just bought a MacLaren Volo for our DD 4. I hated to buy a stroller for a 4 year old, but it is a necessity at Disney and she will never be able to walk all day. Our other strollers are ruined, so we didn't have much choice. We got the 2005 model and it comes with a cargo net under and a canopy. We just bought a clip on cup holder. She is 41 inches and 39 lbs. and she has about 6 inches of head room with the canopy down. The handles are high and the stroller is a dream to push. We took it for a test drive at the mall this weekend and I was totally thrilled! I wish I would have found this sooner. We got the stroller from barebabies.com for $99. I am so glad we decided to spend a little extra.

you could rent a stroller there i have heard people on here say they put 6 and 7 year olds in the disney strollers so the weight wont be a problem. they are covered and i believe they have a basket. :wave2:

Do you remember what the cost is to rent the stroller?

Also, if you were to bring your own, how do you go about checking it at the airport? Is ther any additional fees?

the single strollers are $8 dollars a day and the double is $15. if you bring your own you will have to check it right before you get on the plane they will tag it and you will have to wait for it when you get off the plane. they bring it right outside the door of the plane. :wave2:
