Stroller for 2 year old

for us, the most important features of a stroller at Disney were:

sunshade - a really good sunshade that still allows air circulation
easy fold (you have to fold it on the buses)
easy seat adjustment since the baby fell asleep in the stroller
ease of pushing and maneuvering in tight spots

So, not specific recommendations, but those are what we found most important.

We have one similar to that but Chico. I considered getting one that was more light weight to make it easier getting on and off the bus. You have to weigh different pros an cons.

Pros for the one you have

It has a great basket under neath
It has a nice snack tray
It looks like it provides good shade
you already have it
It reclines

Cons
It might be heavier than others getting it on and off the bus
It will take up more room on the bus

We chose to take our own, but I left the decision to DH since he would be the one dealing with it on the bus. The bus was really the only time was slightly annoying, but DH said he didn't mind.

Inside the park you have to park the stroller any way to go on the rides and since there is designated stroller parking everywhere that allows you to leave it unfolded it really doesn't matter how big it is.

If your 2 year old is comfortable in that stroller And it is easy to push I would take that one, but that is me.

Have fun!

I think the one you already have looks good! Does it fold easily? As long as it folds easily, reclines, and has a decent sun shade, I'd just use that one.

I don't see anything wrong with what you have. It seems to be lightweight and i imagine folds pretty well. The most I would do is just buy an additional sunshade for it (something like rayshade). If you really think you would use another stroller enough to justify the expense I would look at the britax b-agile. Amazon has had the best price I have seen lately. Very similar to the citi mini but usually a bit less expensive.

Thanks, I am looking into adding a snack try, since ours does not have one. The sunshade is OK, works fine but not the best.
We are going in November, so I don't think we will have to worry about the heat, but my little guy has blonde hair and light skin, so we do use the sunshade a lot.
Ours has some squeaks and things like that from use, so I was looking to find a used one with a little less wear.
That is why I was looking to see what brands people have enjoyed.

We just bought a baby jogger city elite since our 2 year old was outgrowing our travel system stroller. Wish I'd had this thing the whole time! It's admittedly heavy, but we are going to be renting the same stroller we have at home when we go to Disney in September this year. She has tons of space in it, we bought the snack tray, she loves the huge canopy, and I love how easy it is to push. I've even pushed it through snow! Can push it with 30 pound toddler in it with only one hand through a very small grocery store near our house. Only think I would wish for on it is a bigger basket underneath. We ran into an issue finding a stroller with a tall enough seatback.

Best of luck in your search!

We have a First Years Ignite http://www.amazon.com/The-First-Yea...1&sr=1-1&keywords=first+years+ignite+stroller but I hear the Jet is also a good stroller. It was great at Disney and easy to maneuver, but DS has long legs and a tendency to rest his feet on the wheels. Had to keep reminding him to put his feet on the footrest. He is over 40", but an average 2-year-old should have no problem with that. He loved "Strolly" and was happy to ride in it, even though he's a "big boy" at home and strollers are for "babies". No snack tray, but he was fine without it.

Have you looked at renting from an outside company? There are several companies that will deliver them to your resort before your arrival. You can bring a cheapo umbrella stroller from Target for the airport and use the nice Baby Jogger in Orlando.

You want it to push extremely well and be a comfortable heights for your backs. Basket and shade looks good. I would use it if it pushes well for you. Just FYI....There can be some VERY warm days in November. Not July heat, but shorts and sandals warm!

We just bought a first years ignite stroller. I havent used it in Disney yet, but we have been trying to "break it in" around stores and for walks.
As I was on my search for a new stroller for disney, it had to have these points:
Decent sunshade
Good height (dh is 6'1)
Good recline
Lightweight
Storage
Hold up to 50 lbs.
reasonable price

I found that the ignite was perfect for us. I found it on Walmart website for $60, free shipping. The only thing was they had a pink an black or a black and red. I liked the black and pink better but the sunshade was pink and I was afraid it wouldn't block the sun as well as the black sunshade. The height was also a good seller as dh is tall and he doesn't have to completely lean over to push the stroller!

Good luck!

We love our Baby Jogger City Mini. Used it in February at WDW, went on an Alaskan cruise wiht it last month, and will be using it at Disneyland in August. It doesn't have a large basket underneath but it folds up easy and turns on a dime.

How important is a shade in November?

At this point I have realized just how bad our shade is for long days out in the sun. My son is very pale skinned as well.

My thoughts now are to rent a City Mini when we get there, maybe get a cheap stroller for the airport if I think I would need it.

Thoughts?

I think the shade is always important. We went last December and still put sunscreen on and tried to keep DD in the shade. YOur out in the sun so long and at naps they don't want the sun in their eyes. I would rent the City Mini. We have one and love it. It pushes easy, has a great shade, veary easy to fold, and DD must think it comfortable. The basket isn't great but we use a mommy hook and store the front carrier and rain cover in the basket.

We just got backed and used Apple strollers and loved them.
Smooth transcation and I think the City Mini is the PERFECT stroller for WDW.
So much so my husband said we should buy one for home.
Now our son turned 2 in August so we will not be getting a new stroller unless we have a second child.
But it says a lot for him to want to spend the money on it.
We both loved it.

ETA: Nvm :) Glad you had a great experience with apple strollers! We love the City Mini too!

We absolutely love our city mini. I rented one for our first trip and by our 2nd trip, I had purchased one because I found it on sale marked down to the point that it was only $15 more to purchase than to rent it (I get the insurance). We do other things like sporting events, zoos, etc so it has gotten a lot of use even though ds was 2 when I got it. I love the size and comfort and the shade, but that it folds with one pull and I can carry it with one hand.

I travel alone with my 2 children and it never fails someone approaches me to help and before they’ve gotten the words out I’ve folded it with just one pull and am walking onto the bus. It was especially helpful when ds was 10 months old. I could carry it with one hand and wear him in the Ergo carrier. It unfolds just as easily.

I haven’t decided if it will make the next trip to Disney or not. We're flying and usually that means I'm pulling luggage and my daughter pushes my son in the stroller. I’m thinking of relieving dd of her stroller duties and getting her her first personal piece of luggage and having ds walk the airport. So not wanting to rent what I have, I’m thinking of renting the GT for our next trip.
