We are traveling to WDW in August and would like to purchase a stroller fan. Does anyone have web site where I can buy one? I've searched and cannot find anything. I've seen them before, so I'm quite sure they are out there.

Thanksi n advance for helping .

Kim

OneStepAhead.com is where we got ours for $12.99 plus shipping. We have tested it numerous times with our 8 month old as we are passholders at WDW. It works great. Hannah enjoys playing with it and she is not able to hurt herself with it. We would recommend it!
Good luck,
Suzy, Ed, and Hannah

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!! You guys rock!!!!

I have done a google search and numerous other searches and have come up with nothing. I've been at this for about a month now. I should have come here from the beginning.

Check your local department stores. They are getting fans in now. I purchased mine on line (I don't remember where) then found them at several local stores in the spring for much less than I paid. Just make sure that little fingers won't fit through the cage part.

We are always thinking safety. I could easily buy one of those fans that has a mobile neck. But we are very particular in finding one that is just for a stroller, so that DS's little fingers don't become little nubs.

Thanks again everyone.

The one we bought at Target is just like the one from Ace Hardware and has foam blades. No one's losing any fingers.lol

I actually posted the same question on the budget board and someone there said the dollar store has them. I haven't checked yet and I don't know if it is the kind with the soft blades as that is the kind I'm wanting to purchase also for maximum safety. So you might want to check there also as I will be doing the same thing very soon. Good luck in your search. I'm searching with ya!! :)

Another idea - The Disney Store has small personal foam blade fans on a break away cord necklace that has characters on them. The best part? They light up while spinning!!! I bought a couple for a surprise when we get down there.

We bought one of these for my ds1 and he loves it! He loves the lights and kept sticking his finger in the blades and laughing. Aren't one year olds great! :) It was just soo cute, I couldn't leave the store without it. (I know, Mom's a sucker)

I just bought 2 from the dollar store and neither work. Well one works but you have to hold the switch to on. I will be checking out the other stores. At least I only lost 2 bucks out of the deal.

Well, if safety is a big concern, watch your kids closely. DS got a hold of his at 18 months and bit off the blades! IT happened ridiculously fast. We got all the pieces out of his mouth and decided we were better off wetting down his hat to keep him cool.

I bought one last year at AK that had very thin blades that don't hurt when you touch them. Well, my 3 year old managed to get her hair tangled in it. So remember, even if they are old enough not to hurt their fingers, hair can also cause a problem!!! Great little fan though. It was a handheld size.

Oh, I forgot about the hair factor. My oldest also got her hair caught in one of those fans last summer. We had to cut it out with a tiny pair of scissors I had to open up juice boxes for the sippy cup.

Our dollar store has both...stroller clip and handheld fans with foam blades.

We used one last year and it was a lifesaver...many people commented on what a great idea it was. But I agree, do be careful and keep it away from your child's hair. It will wrap up in there really quickly. It only happened once with us when middle dd was holding it and fanning her face. It came out easily.

If you're going in the Fall, check out your Disney Store towards the end of the summer season and see if they discount the handheld fans. Last year we bought about 50 of them....for $1 each...and have used them for bday goodie bags, bows on bday presents, and we still have some to take on our trip. I thought they were discontinuing them, but they have the **exact** same fans in the stores now for around $5.

We used the stroller fan from One Step Ahead on our trip last June. It worked OK but I'm hoping to find one that is a little more powerful for our next trip. Would also prefer another one that has the blades in a cage since our little wild child will definitely want to play with it. I can definitely see her taking a bite out of one of the blades (she just did this to a foam drink holder the other day:rolleyes: ) or getting the blades tangled in her hair. Has anyone tried clipping a Chilly Bean fan to the stroller canopy? I haven't actually compared one to the fan we have but I think the Chilly Bean may be more powerful. Would love to hear more suggestions.:)

I just posted a thread with this info, but here goes anyway. www.babyproofingplus.com They have stroller fans, harnesses, rain covers and lots of other useful stuff.
