Hi. New to posting here, but been lurking a long time. I was curious to find out where you got your stroller fan. We're looking to buy one, but not sure what the best brand is, or where to get one. Please help. And if this is in the wrong forum, please advise.

Thanks

I bought an 02 Cool battery operated fan for $4.99 at CVS. It clips on to the stroller and has foam blades.

I've found in the past, the fans with the protection "cage" don't offer as strong of a breeze.

The Kelgar from One Step Ahead I do not recommend. It broke after one season and the breeze was very faint compared to the 02 Cool fan.

We have this one from cvs aswell. We have 2, one for each side of the stroller. We also purchased the Mickey one from the park, but the CVS blows much more cool air and lots cheaper, just bring a set of batteries for everyday, we generally used one set a day last August.

I was looking to attach one to my son's wheelchair..... but we don't have a CVS here. Anyother places or suggestions to buy one?

I was wondering if you could just get a clamp from somewhere like home depot that would attach to the wheelchair? Not sure if that would work, but the thought popped into my head!

How well does the fan from One Step Ahead work? I am defintely buying some type of fan to clip onto the stroller for our August trip. We all have our individual fans and our youngest needs one too to keep cooler.

I would recommend if at all possible, leaving the back of the stoller canopy opened a little bit to allow air to flow through. I was amazed at how warm it got inside our DD's carseat this weekend here at home with the canopy all the way opened. As soon as we lifted the back of the canopy a bit, the air started flowing through and you could feel the difference within a few minutes.

I saw quite a few fans at Babies R Us this weekend that claim to fit any stroller. They had an attachment that looked like it could be adjusted to fit the side rail of a stroller. I would think that they could also fit on a wheelchair.

I have the 02 foam blade stroller fans. Work great for DS. Unfortunately, we had an accident with DNiece - her hair got caught in the fan, and we needed to have a CM cut her free. She was quite upset - so if you have girls with longer hair, the cage may reduce the breeze, but will keep hair from getting caught.

I bought mine from Campmor.com, and had shipped direct to resort.

We are just back from a 10 day trip. If you are going to use the fans they sell at the parks make sure you bring a bunch of GOOD batteries and a smallish phillips screwdriver. Not one for glasses repair, but not a huge one either. If you stick with the sample batteries, it produces next to no "wind" at all. Total waste. With some good batteries (ie I noticed a HUGE difference between the name brand high powered ones I bought at the camera care center vs. the sams club ones I had with me) they work well. They eat batteries though given how long you run the fans for.

Good to know, we used our Mickey Fan for just a little bit because it did not work the best our CVS foam ones through much more air......I will have try it with really good batteries.
