stroller/double stroller swap?

I was interested in seeing if any are going on or not still. We are going to disney June 2-9th and would be interested in joining.

If there isn't and we can get 2-3 families around may/june to start one and split cost of purchasing a stroller to donate to the boards I would be available for that as well.

It's against the disboard rules to collect money from other members in order to run a swap. That's pretty much the reason why all the stroller swaps died out. They couldn't collect money for replacements or repairs and no one wanted to donate an expensive stroller for other people to use. And there were some pretty nasty stories about how filthy and abused some of the strollers were.

You might want to check a few of the stroller rental places out. You can get some pretty nice ones for less than what Disney wants. It will be delivered to you clean and in working order. With the swaps there was no guarantee that you would even get your stroller, let alone that it would be usable.

I knew you couldn't charge people to be a part of the stroller swaps, but from what I read in the rules it wasn't clear that it banned people from getting together and purchasing a stroller for donation to the group.

Anyone know of any cheap rental places? The one I checked into while far cheaper than disney was still over 100 bucks for a week for a stroller that retails a little over 200.

...maybe I need to start a stroller rental company.
