Stroller Dilemma

We are travelling with our two kids - age 8 and 4. It will probably be our last stroller trip to WDW. My son (the 4 yo) never goes in a stroller anymore, but we had an old one that we just keep for trips like this. Well, the wheel fell off, and although we've got it back on, it's not going to survive a flight to Florida and 10 days in WDW.

I really don't want to spend the money to rent a stroller there (how much is it a day, anyway?). I also don't want to buy a new one. All I need is a good used stroller with a good sized basket - I don't even care what it looks like - that's not too bulky to bring along.

Any ideas where I could find a used stroller?

You could check the local craigslist.com ..sometimes you can find people who are selling their strollers really cheap...or even giving them away. Just click on NJ and then the section that is closest to you. Its worth a shot. You could always rent one from A babys best friend down there.. http://www.abbf.com/pricelist.html
Or you could always get a stroller like a Chicco ( i think they are around $80-89) use it then put it up for sale when you get home...

Check garage sales...that's probably your best bet for getting something really cheap.
Also check out your local consignment shop.

Or you could buy one of those umbrella strollers; you can get them at
Walmart, Target, etc. and they're usually under $12. My 5 year old daughters still fit in my 3 year old son's umbrella stroller.

Also, the Disney single strollers are $8/day for a length of stay rental.

We're renting one from A Baby's Best Friend for our trip in October. We thought about just renting a double from the parks (we still may) but I was concerned w/DD2 wanting to nap and the park's strollers do not recline. Our DD4 still appreciates a ride when she gets tired so they'll either take turns in the stroller from abbf or just climb into the double from disney. IMO if your 4 yr old doesn't use a stroller much I'd just rent at the parks instead of dragging a stroller around that you might not need. My Passporter book says strollers are $10/day single, $18/day double stroller, length of stay rentals are $8/day single, $16/day double stroller.
