Stroller dilemma - To bring or not to bring.

If the cast members move them, they are still there. Just usually across the pathway. You just have to look at the next closest stroller area.

We are staying at Grand Californian.

Here's my $.02:

Bring AT LEAST one stroller. We made the mistake of going last August without a stroller for our DD4 (at the time). We were fine renting a stroller in the parks, but you can't use them past the security checkpoint. The walk back to the Grand Californian is torture while carrying a limp child!

I say bring a stroller!! My dd is 6, and we will still be taking one when we go in April. It is well worth it to us. She doesn't use it nearly as much as she used to, but at 10:30 pm when she is bushed, she crawls in, snuggles up with her blanket and she is OUT!! However, we don't have to leave if we aren't ready (and we usually aren't!) nor do we have to lug a 50 pound limp child back to a hotel. Also, we use it for our stuff. It's wonderful to stuff our sweatshirts and snacks in the bottom basket so we don't carry them all day. Also, we have found that we use caribeaner(sp?) clips to snap our Camelback water bottles down the sides of the stroller. No carrying them and easy access (and we aren't paying $3 a bottle for water in the park!)!! We don't push the stroller everywhere we go, just park it centrally to the area we are in and move when going to another land. We have never had any problems with anyone taking anything. We do carry cash, phones, etc. on us, though, we don't leave them in the stroller, just in case. I also say bring your own versus renting one at the park mainly for the trip back to the hotel (easier and you aren't carrying 'stuff' along with a child!). Besides, I am with the others who have said they like to save money where they can. I don't want to spend $15 a day to rent...I could buy everyone a great dinner with that $90!!:woohoo:

This is the OP's wife and I have always been on team "bring it" - even for older kids. It's so nice to have a stroller for when the kids get tired and you want to keep going. Plus, you can get to a lot more places when you are not dragging tired kids. And, you have a place to keep any thing you've purchased as you wonder through the parks. I have a feeling we'll be using our stroller for years to come.

Original poster of this thread....

Just got back from Disneyland. We have a side-by-side City Mini stroller (http://www.babyjogger.com/city_mini_dbl_dtl.aspx)

BRING IT! It helped us so much and fit through every door.

We also bought and brought a bike lock so we could chain up our stroller when we felt it may get taken (Downtown Disney I trusted a bit less than in the parks).

BRING YOUR STROLLER. I can't stress that enough.

Great to hear! We have a Side by side City Classic. What lock did you use?

I would agree that you can rent a stroller at DL but if you think you'll need it outside of DL you might want to consider brining one.
