Stroller as wheelchair question

Hi everyone! We'll be at the World the first week in Nov with our ds, 5, who has moderate autism. We'll be requesting a GAC with stroller as wheelchair accommodation so he has a safe, somewhat secluded place to hang out when we're waiting in lines. This is our first trip, so we're not familiar with the physical layout of the parks and attractions. Are there some rides/attractions that do not allow wheelchairs in the lines (especially those geared towards younger kiddos)? If so, are they marked clearly at the entrances? In such cases, what should we plan to do for entering the attractions?

Thanks for any help you can give me!

I only have time for a quick answer.

You will have no problem getting the stroller all the way to the boarding area, as long as it is marked 'stroller as wheelchair'

The only attrActions it would be an issue would be those where guests need to be ambulatory and Pirates - you could have him walk for Pirates or switch to one of the attraction wheelchairs.

No wheelchairs allowed at Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse, Tomorrowland Transit Authority and you can bring it on Tom Sawyer Isldnd, but it is not wheelchair accessible (many stairs)

Thank you SO much! That's exactly what I needed to know. :)

They did allow me to bring my stroller marked as a wheelchair through the line at Pirates, but I think I just got lucky.

They may or may not, it depends on if they have someone who can move it from boarding to the unload area. They are in different buildings and unload is down one floor

We did not have a problem with the stroller as wheelchair...most places are fine to go through and there is usually a CM at the front of the line that you can ask. Don't hesitate to ask them! All of the CMs were friendly and helpful while we were there. Make sure to have your GAC card too. We didn't always need it, but a few times we did and it was very helpful.

You will have a great trip!
