We are renting a medical stroller that whould be at our resort upon check-in. DS7 has some mobility issues but would not go in a wheel chair. We plan to use the medical stroller as a wheel chair. We will go to guest relations to get the stroller as wheel chair sticker. Question Will I also need a GAC?
I know if you have a wheel chair you do not need a GAC. How should this be handled.
TIA

Trip is in 11 days.

if all your son needs is the stroller as a wheelchair tag then you won't get a GAC just the tag. Since you get the tag & GAC at the same spot I'm sure the CM will help if you need the GAC too

Guests don't need a Guest Assistance Card to use a mobility device in line, as long as it is obviously a mobility device. A 'stroller as wheelchair' tag will make it obvious to CMs that the stroller is being used that way.
Most lines/attractions are wheelchair accessible to the boarding area. If the boarding area is different for guests with mobility devices or disabilities, you will usually be in the regular line for a while before seeing a gate or pull off point marked with a wheelchair symbol.

A few attractions have different entrances, but the majority have "Mainstream" accessible lines. There is a special park map for each for guests with disabilities which lists the 'Mobility Entrances'. You can find those maps at most parks along with the other maps at the park entrance. You can also get them at Guest Relations.

If you have more needs than to just have the stroller in line, then you would also need a GAC. You can find more information about GACs and strollers as wheelchairs in post 6 of the disABILITIES FAQs three near the top of this board or follow the link in my signature.

Every time we have used the stroller as a wheelchair for our 7 year old daughter with epilepsy, low muscle tone and fatigue issues (2008, 2009, and 2010) we have also been given a GAC with the stroller as a wheelchair stamp on it as well as the sticker to attach to the stroller. Some CMs want to see both the sticker and the GAC; some just want to see the sticker.

Me too. It doesn't hurt to have both just in case.

From our experience have to have the GAC marked for a stroller as a wheel chair to use the tag. We ran into this on our last trip.We where asked to show it every time. I had the card with me ( I forgot about it) when I ran to the rest room and my hubby tried to get into line with our son. The CM said that even though we had the tag he had to see the GAC. After I returned and showed it to him he let us on through but he did say that they had recent issues with stolen tags ( that was about 2 years ago).

Stollen tags would make sense.
Theoretically, you don't also need a card with the sticker.
at one point, they were giving out both, then switched to just the sticker unless the person had other needs.
We did see people on our last trip in April 2011 who had only a sticker and had no trouble using it in lines. They were using the entrance listed as the Mobility Entrance.
