Stroller as a Wheelchair questions?

Hi all,
we are heading to WDW for our first family trip in January - DH & I have been several years ago pre kids but visiting as parents is a whole new world to us!
our youngest DD(6) has some hypermobility/muscle tone issues and low stamina. She also has some sensory issues, she doesn't use a stroller at home but I've rented one from Kingdom Strollers for us to use in the parks because I know she will not make it walking all day and also she can use it as a safe haven when she feels overwhelmed

I'm just wondering if I should try to get a "stroller as a wheelchair tag" so she can rest in the stroller in long lines, is this tag something we need to apply for or is it as simple as asking for one?
do we have to get a new one for each park we visit ir is it good for length of stay? we are visiting all 4 parks but no hopping
what happens to the stroller once you're on the ride? I know some rides don't enter and exit (or load unload) at the same point, is there a designated spot to pick up your stroller or do they move it to the regular stroller parking area?
are there certain rides where even with a tag they won't let you take the stroller through the queue? (perhaps due to safety or space concerns)

Some lines can be a long time standing or a long distance. Soarin’ is over 1/4 mile to get in and another 1/4 mile to get out for example. It also has quite a few up and down parts.
Being able to use a stroller in line can be helpful for both stamina and sensory.

You request it at Guest Relations at one of the 4 theme parks. I don’t know if you can get it at the Guest Experience umbrellas or not.
Guests who are bringing a stroller into the park (either their own or one rented from an outside rental place) just need to get the tag once and it will be good for the entire stay. It’s a tag that attaches the same way as an airline luggage tag and will stand up to a week of use.
If you were renting a stroller at each park, you would need to get a new one each day since the stroller has to be turned in before leaving.

strollers with the Stroller as Wheelchair tags get handled the same as wheelchairs and other mobility devices. In some cases, loading and unloading is at the same area and the stroller will be either exactly where you parked it when you boarded or very close by.
If loading and unloading are in different places, it will be moved to the unload area

No. The stroller you rent from Kingdom Strollers will meet Disney’s stroller size requirements, so will fit.
The only one they may ask if she can sit in an attraction wheelchair would be Pirates. The issue there is that the unload area is in a different building and down one floor from the load area. Because of the time it takes to transfer devices, they like people to use the attraction wheelchairs if possible.

@Sue M thank you for your very thorough and concise answers, for rides like POTC if they ask for her to come out of the stroller she definitely can walk for a little bit or DH will just carry her, thankfully she's a tiny tot at only 40lb I just know in general a stroller will result in less tears and frustration for all involved.
I'm planning to bring her noise cancelling headphones and her sleep mask as well for times when she just needs a sensory break. I haven't been to Disney since 2011 but I remember lots of noise bright colours and so much to look at, she will love it but will need the option to "check out" when it gets to be too much, especially with noise

I would still take the wheelchair at Pirates and even at 40 lbs can get to feeling heavy in and out. been there and done with the tag. I second what Sue said about getting tag. the tag will also allow you to bring stroller into buildings that usually make you park strollers

Pirates also has hills that go up/down in the line.
