Stroller and carseat questions

Thats a good idea!! Do you know what kind of price range they are? The only issue I can see there would be how would we get from the airport to Walmart in the car without a car seat?

have a look on Walmart's website to get an idea of prices. We're going to get ME to OKW and then pick up the car from the car care center.

ETA We're also looking at ordering one to be delivered to OKW.

I just order one online from Walmart then pick it up instore (you just order it to be delivered to the store of your choice).

TBH we used to just sit in the back of the car with the baby on or knee with the Seat belt round both of us from the airport and make Walmart our 1st stop for the carseat. I know some people will frown on this but TBH sometimes the little ones are so tired&confused by the time uve got the hire car that there in such a state that they won't sit in the carseat anyway&just want to be comfortated by mummy:grouphug:

We now do things slightly different and book our car hire with a company that also pick you up from the airport 1st, then they transport you to your accommodation before getting your hire car so they bring there own carseat with them for you to use in the taxi.

I just check the carseat in at DD with the luggage then take the stroller to the airport;) ;) hence only checking in the stroller at the gate:rotfl2:

Ah thanks guys! I think I might look into getting a transfer from the airport to a certain point and send DH on in the hire car to Walmart where he can collect the seat and then we can go to the villa together (we're in a pool home offsite so ME isn't an option) I can see what our tour operator thinks anyway before I decide. I'm completely off the idea of renting a car seat though anyway.
Can I just ask one more question - we currently have a travel system buggy for our DS so we'll be getting a new one before we go to Florida that will hopefully last him until our next child comes along. We'll be taking at least one more trip abroad this year, perhaps two so I'm looking for one that travels well, that has decent sun shade and a good recline for napping on the go but also one that is good for day to day use at home in Ireland with our unpredictable rainy weather. Do you guys have any recommendations?

I wonder if you can rent a car seat for just one day until you get your one in Orlando and return it to a local location near WDW. A transfer will cost you a lot of money.

Thats another good idea! Thanks, I'll email the Tour Operator later and hopefully they'll have a solution for me! :)
