Last year when we were there we only went to 2 parks (quick trip) and we just took our umbrella stroller (mostly for storing stuff)....since we'll be there for a week this time I wonder if it would be worth the cost to do the rental. I know they have single and double, I just need to check and see how much it is for both. I know you get a discounted rate if you rent them for a certain length of time/days........any tips?

UPDATE: I found the part on the Disney site about the strollers including pics and prices, etc.. Thanks again for you help.

We have been the last 3 years and we have rented one every time. We think it is completely worth the cost. Our two youngest get tired and it's nice being able to just push them when they do. You get a discount is you purchase a length of stay pass. It is $13/day for single and $27/day for double if you do the length of stay.

There is also a stroller company called Orlando Stroller Rentals that are about half the price. We have never used them but I have heard they deliver the stroller to your resort. We just don't like carrying it back and forth to the hotel or the buses.

Hope this helps

When our boys were young, we always brought a stroller with us. Yes, they are a pain on the buses but we really felt it was necessary for our kids at the end of a tiring day to be able to sit (and sometimes sleep) all the way to the bus stop, while waiting for the bus and also at the resort to get back to our hotel room. Having to carry them at that point when you're tired is tough. Just something to consider.

That is when we actually used our stroller the most. :rotfl: Our preschooler wanted to walk in the parks due to all the exciting things to see, etc. But at night at the bus stop when you're waiting 40 min. to get on a bus and there's nothing to do/see then he wanted to conk out. ;) And our walk back to our room seemed twice as long the night my DH tried carrying him from the bus stop rather than mess with putting him back in the stroller.

You said exactly what I was thinking! We have been for each of DSs 3 birthdays and will be going back shortly after his 4th. We are bringing a stroller because we really need it for OUTSIDE the parks when he is no longer motivated to walk!! And you are sooooo right about that walk back to your room at night with the sleeping preschooler! Hand over the advil bottle after that!

I have forgotten how big the rented single ones are in relation to the umbrella stroll.......anyone have a pic? I know they are a lot sturdier and then we wouldn't have to lug that unbrella stroller to and from the resort (even though it is lightweight).....thanks so much for your tip, I appreiate them!

Come on March 13th!!!!

Several times we have rented from Orlando Stroller Rentals, they deliver the stroller to the resort before we get there, when we check out we leave the stroller with bell services and its picked up by the stroller company. Great strollers at a very resonable price.

for the cost of renting a stroller at DW I would just go buy one at walmart if you have a car. We have done this twice, we get a decent one not a top of the line one and at the end of the trip we either take it home if we like it or toss it but it is cheaper and more confortable for the kids then the disney hard plastic ones. Also you don't have to wait in line every morning to get a stroller/return it and if you park hop you have to do that every time. You might also try an offsite stroller rental company.
