Stripped Screw Head?

So, I am in the process of trying to switch our office ceiling fan blades. Of course, DH is at work, and I am here all alone! Anyways, one of the screw heads is stripped, and the screw itself couldn't be screwed on tighter. :sad2: (Did I mention that it is was on the LAST of FIVE blades, and of course, the final screw. :headache: I am about to rip the fan from the ceiling...)

Anyways, I would REALLY like to get this done and surprise DH. I know you can use a drill bit to drill out a new hole, but DH would have to do that, I don't even know where his drill is, let alone how to use it.

Any quick, easy methods?

Yep....you either need more elbow grease, a different sized screwdriver, some WD-40, or you may need to drill it out. Have a drink and Let your husband take a looksie.

They sell a special drill bit that will cut into and grip a stripped screw head. We have one and it works great. Much better than drilling out the old screw and retapping the hole.
