Strike at Swan?

A friend's mother who lives in Florida called last night to state the employees at the Swan might strike. When he called, the person he talked to at the Swan was very vague and said he would have to talk to management about this. Anyone hear about this?

400 workers at the Swan and Dolphin (which includes the housekeeping staff) have rejected a contract. This does not mean they will go on strike.

I read on another Disney site (gasp) that these employees agreed to mediation beginning April 12th.

I heard about that, but i only think it will last a couple of days.

well that would just figure we arrive on the 13th so about midway into our vacation we may have to cross picket lines!! Not good as both hubby and I are union workers too!

I didn't even know that the Swan and Dolphin wasn't Disney owned...I guess you learn something everyday.
