In 2008 we enjoyed Kona Cafe so much that it was a definate on our recent trip. However, we will not be going back again. Our waitress was Malia (very nice, btw) my husband and I ordered the Teriyaki steak well done and DH ordered medium well. Mine came back med well and his was raw!!! We sent them back (steaks on seperate plates
).
They brought back our steaks on new plates with new food that we did not order prior. Anyway, his steak was medium well and burnt. Mine was unedible, just burnt straight through. Apparently this was satifisfactory for Malia but she was adament about bringing me else entirely or she would take it off the bill. I had her take it off the bill.
The third thing was the hamburger for my son. The meat was too hard. We then ordered the chicken nuggets. Wow they looked nasty. I thought they were potato cakes. I also expected them to be better than McDonalds. Gross.
Another thing was that my dh went to ask to speak to the manager (which was odd that Malia did not send her to our table in the first place). She didn't have much to say other than that she was sorry. Okay then.
