strict age regulations for kids clubs?

Sorry to hijack this thread.

We are interested in booking the 5-night double dip on 6/11/17. My twins will be turning 11 on 6/20/17. Will they be able to go to the Edge? I think they pretty much aged out of the Oceaneer Club/Lab and don't want them to not have anywhere to go.

Best answer - maybe. You won't know for sure until you're onboard and ask the Edge CMs whether they will be allowed. They can attend Oceaneer's until they are 12, so they haven't "aged out" of that club.

I think it's *through* 12, so they can actually be there until the day before their 13th birthday.

Now, whether they want to is another thing.

My son would want to be in the Lab, but he enjoys *playing*, not just hanging out. And they've got the light up dance floor in Dream's Lab. Which he loves. :)

Possible on getting the 13 year old into Vibe. No way you'd get the 8 year old in there, and the teens aren't going to be able to go to the Club or Lab.

Glad I saw this thread, we're in the same boat. Cruising 3/4/17, my daughter is turning 11 on 3/15/17, her sister will be 12 (couple months shy of 13), figured they'd still have to hang at the lab/club. They are fine with that, but if they can check out Edge together that would be great. Guess we'll wait and see, but not get hopes up just in case.

What I will say is that while DCL is strict on these 18 y/o rules, they can often make exceptions if its an 18 y/o High Schooler as that is the target age group.

DCL used to allow 18 year olds who had not completed high school, or had not started college yet to attend the teen club. That's all changed now (happened around Dec 2011, if I recall correctly). An 18 year old is out of Vibe the day they turn 18.

My daughter was going to turn 18 on the 3rd day of our cruise. They said the day she turned 18 she would no longer be able to go into the teen club, even though she will still be in high school. We re-booked for a cruise 2 weeks earlier so she could attend the whole time. She absolutely loves being in the teen club!
