I'm actually on the Atkins diet (or a close facsimile thereof), which allows me to eat quite a bit of food normally, as long as I'm careful about the number of effective carbohydrates involved. (So far, it's working... I'm down about 140 pounds in just under 14 months... from "Monstro" size to "Pooh" size.)
So, the amount of food -- even on DxDP -- shouldn't be an issue for me. It'll be the type of food, as when I'm on vacation, I go "off-plan" and allow myself to eat whatever I want, under the assumption that I'll then crack down and be extra good when I return. But I still need to be careful not to over-do it on the carbs too much, because I'm somewhat intolerant to them; that is, they make me sluggish. Now, that will likely be offset by the extra metabolism boost of walking some 10 miles a day while carrying a backpack and pushing a stroller...
