Stress!!

Firstly, let me start by saying I'm sorry it's been so long since I posted. My wedding is on the 26th April this year....not long now! I've been suffering with backpain since Feb 2006 but lately I've been really struggling and Ive had to go into hospital for a cortisone injection which after 2 weeks in severe pain hasn't worked! Now I'm back with the Consultant tomorrow hoping he'll do something to help me for the wedding....one has to hope!

The closer the wedding is getting the more stressed I'm getting and I'm turning to those who know for some help and support - you guys!

I'm getting married at a 2.30pm ceremony, the pre-reception will follow at 3.30pm the whitehall patio and then the main reception will begin from 4.30pm and will run until 1.30am.

I'm feeling a little overwhelmed now I'm at the final stages and I really need some advice from those of you who've been there before. My concern at the moment is tha ceremony itself. I'm having a catholic ceremony - I found a catholic priest who has agreed to do a full catholic ceremony including communion, unity candles and signing of the register - exactly as its done here in Ireland - Im thrilled but my problem is the ceremony could run for up to 50 minutes and I really dont want to have to compromise on any aspect of it as its so important to us and our families and I dont want to look back on the day and remember it being rushed. So heres the dilema, we have the pavilion from 2pm - 3.30pm. Guests are scheduled to arrive for 2pm and ceremony to start at 2.30pm. Chances are the ceremony could run until 3.20pm which could leave very little time for our staged exit and photos....

Any suggestions, I have a reoccuring nightmare where our wedding planner keeps rushing us and we end up not getting the photos we want etc....

Can you start the ceremony earlier? If your guests are supposed to be there at 2, why not start the ceremony at 2:15 or even 2:10? Don't reward the late-comers, that's what I say! lol

Seem like having your full, Irish Catholic ceremony and getting the photos you want are more important to you than if a couple of people have to stand in the back, yes?
