Street Party at DCA and Feb. 14 ??

Is the street party no-longer?? We were looking forward to it!!!! Especially getting to dance with Sully. We are going on Feb. 14-18. We are planning 2 of those days in the parks. Times are the same except the 14th which are much shorter and less events available. So, are the crowds considerably less on the 14th since it is Valentine's day? We're trying to decide which 2 days to do the parks. Do they do anything fun for valentine's?

Thanks for the help deciding!! This is a last-minute trip and we are so excited!!!

You mean Block Party Bash? Yep, it's gone. DCA is temporarily running DEP on weekends as its main parade until they unveil Pixar Play Parade in March.

I know that Feb 17th is a special Magical Martial Arts Day at CA Adventure to coincide with the 2008 Disneyland Martial Arts Festival being held at the Anaheim Convention Center on Feb 15 & 16th. From what we've been told their will be martial arts demonstrations in the park on the 17th, and all of the athletes that participate in the competition on the 15th & 16th are invited to participate in a pre-parade march on the 17th. Not sure if that helps you to determine which days to do which parks.

Since Valentine's Day falls on a Thursday, I don't expect the parks will be super busy. Kids are in school and most people have to work. The limited hours reflect that Disney agrees that it will be a low attendance day.

I've never heard of any special Valentine's events DLR does for the "hallmark holiday."

We will be there for Valentines day as we were in 2006. I cannot recall there being anything extraordinary although we did not stay at DLH last trip.
I have my card to take with me and will find something to gift DH with in California.

What about Early entry Days? How do I find out what days they are? We (with 2day tix) won't be using it, but would like to avoid those crowds. Thanks, Vanvmom, for the info on the martial arts day. That helps!
