Strategy for two parks, one day

We're staying at the Polynesian and have PH tix. Traveling with DH and 5 and 7 year old kids. We only have 2 days, so spending day 1 at MK. Need some help with day 2. We have 6 pm ADRs at Epcot, so had planned to be there around 4 or so. In the morning, we could do MK or AK, but it is entirely possible we won't have picked a park until the night before (DH has never been before so I don't have a good feel for how he'll do). I have FP @ MK just in case as it's the least recommended park that day. Trying to figure out what's the best use of time for the morning/lunch on day 2.
Two questions-
1) Is it at all feasible to do the morning at MK, head to AK after lunch and get to Epcot by 4? Or will we spend all our time traveling?
2) If we do the sane thing and do one park in the morning before heading to Epcot - what's the better option in terms of travel time? If I understand correctly, the only way to get to Epcot from MK is to take the monorail to the TTC, get off, and get on the Epcot monorail? Is it shorter from AK via bus?

Thanks for any help or advice!

For Day 2 I would see how the kids do at MK. You may not finish touring it, in which case, I would go back there for the morning of Day 2 to finish it and then take the monorail to Epcot. To get to Epcot you are correct - you would change monorails at the Ticket and Transportation Center - follow the signs carefully and you'll be ok.

While at Epcot I would be sure to see Turtle Talk with Crush - that is perfect for kids your ages.

If your family had enough of MK on Day 1, then I'd choose AK instead for the morning. It's a beautiful park with lots to see. You don't say if you have a car but if you do, I would drive to AK then when you are finished, drive to Epcot for the rest of the day.
If you don't have a car, you can take the bus from AK to Epcot - it doesn't take all that long - I think the time I did it, it was 30 minutes and that included waiting for the bus to arrive at AK first.

I would not try for 3 parks in one day. That would be too much travel time for the kids I would think.

Happy Planning and have a great time!

Seeing everything in the MK isn't a goal, it's an excuse to plan the next trip.

I agree with the AK in the morning, and then Epcot.
