Strategy for this weekend?

Hi,
This is our first time to Disneyland. We've seen crowds at WDW, but from what I've been reading here, DL is a whole different ballgame. We'll be doing the parks this Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. I understand there is a CHOC walk going on this Sunday and I assume this will increase park attendance? Tuesday, DL is closing at 5pm. We don't think we'll be spending a whole day at DCA because there is no Aladdin or Fantasmic and most of the rides at Paradise Pier don't interest us. We're of course planning on doing ToT, Soarin', TSM etc.
We're hoping to see the fireworks on Sunday night. Would you suggest starting in DL or DCA on Sunday morning. We'll be there for rope drop. Do you think Mon/Tues will have reasonable crowd levels?

I think Monday and Tuesday will have very low crowd levels. All the fall breaks, conventions, etc. will have passed, and you'll enjoy DLR with small crowd levels. Have fun!

Don't forget to wander into the Animation Studio at DCA. It's a lot of fun learning to draw a Disney character, or talking with Crush, or putting your voice to a cartoon clip.

Also, don't completely skip Paradise Pier. That's where Toy Story MIdway Mania is, and once you go on it, you may find your self in line for it over and over and over ... Also, Screamin' over California is a fabulous roller coaster!

If you enjoy wine, have a glass of wine or champagne with lunch or dinner (or just by itself if you prefer), sit outside and watch the people for a while at the Wine Country Trattoria. Beer is available at the Warf, and there is also a bar with mixed drinks near Ariel's, where you can sit and watch Paradise Pier.

It's your first visit, after all, so try it all once. There's lots to do at DCA
