Huh? I guess I want to enjoy my vacation and not have to think and obsess about whether this attraction will give me another fastpass or not! With my luck, the machine would "eat" my ticket!

We just got back yesterday and we never had a problem with lines..we used our fastpasses to the fullest extent and never waited more than 15 minutes for ANYTHING. At one pointed I had fastpasses for 3 different rides at one time, we couldn't understand why everyone wasn't fastpassing...would go back in July in a heartbeat!

OK, to me that is what we've always done, except I guess I didnt realize the attractions had different "fetch" times... I remember reading a post, and thought there was another "secret" way to get a FP...

We just got back yesterday and we never had a problem with lines..we used our fastpasses to the fullest extent and never waited more than 15 minutes for ANYTHING. At one pointed I had fastpasses for 3 different rides at one time, we couldn't understand why everyone wasn't fastpassing...would go back in July in a heartbeat!

That's encouraging news. I'm leaving tomorrow morning and I plan on using FP as much as possible. Can't wait!!

I was reading that each person can get only one fast pass every 2 hours. What happens if you try to get one before your two hours is up. Is that why every one want to know how to get more passes?

Didn't read the article, but....I believe it's every 2 hours, or 5 minutes after the beginning return time on your current FP, whichever is sooner. So, if it is now 10:00 and you get a FP for 10:45, you can get another FP at 10:50, you don't have to wait until 12:00. However, if the FP you get at 10:00 is good for a return of 2:00, the next one will be available at 12:00.....it prints right on the FP when you can get another. If you try to get one too soon, it just spits out a ticket that says.."not eligible for FP" or something like that.
During our June trip , the FP for the car show...lights motor action (?) didn't count against your other FP....so you could get as many as you wanted and you could still pick up another for a different ride/show.

You are slightly mistaken, based on my reading of the article. The next one is not eligible 2 hours later...it is available no later than two hours later. The article notes that different rides have a different fetch time, which means you would be able to get another pass at whatever the next fetch time in play is (I am not sure from reading the article but I would assume that the "next fetch" calculation is based on the ride you are trying to get another FP, but I could be wrong). The point was that it would be no more than two hours (actually now two hours plus five minutes) later.

The truth is I usually only go to WDW in September or January (very slow times). However, I found in another thread that someone knew how to get more fastpasses more often. So I did a search for it and found that link. I thought it was neat and might be of use to others going at busier times, so I posted it.

I'm going to WDW Sept. 22-26 '05 with my boyfriend. It's his first time going on a plane, nevermind WDW!!! It'll be my first time staying on-resort (at the CSR). You can't imagine how excited I am!!! September last year was pretty slow - I'm counting on it being slow again so we can enjoy as much of the magic as we can!

Disney FASTPASS allows guests to make 'reservations' for a particular ride to avoid waiting in long lines. As you approach an attraction that uses the FASTPASS system, you will see three lines. One is the FASTPASS distribution line (where you can make your reservation), the second is the FASTPASS entrance (when you're returning to ride after making your FASTPASS reservation), and the third is the Standby entrance. Each line will have a clock noting the window of time during which you can return to the attraction with no further wait if you select the FASTPASS option.

For example, let's say the line for Kali River Rapids is 60 minutes, and you don't feel like waiting in line. You would put your ticket through a special machine, which would produce a slip of paper telling you what time to come back and ride the ride...with no wait!! You have a 1 hour window to return, so you have some flexibility in touring. The time you will be scheduled to return will be the same, or slightly longer, than the current wait time for the attraction. The major difference is, instead of standing on line...you can be enjoying the park!! Each guest can get a FASTPASS every two hours. The time the computer printed out your ticket will provide the basis for the two hours. For example, if the machine printed out a ticket at 9:00 a.m., you would be able to get another ticket at 11:00 a.m. There is no charge for the service.

I'm going in September too, 9/11-9/16 and taking my boyfriend, it's his first time on a plane and first time at WDW too. I'm not sure who will have more fun my 4 year old dd or him

The next fastpass availability time is printed on you ticket, very small on the bottom. At MGM I went to lights motor action and got fastpasses at 9:00 and I obtained 4 more fastpassses at 9:08 for TOT, 30 mintes later I got 4 more for Rockin roller coaster, so I was carrying around 12 fastpasses by 10 am. Also, if you don't make it back in your time frame window, printed on the ticket, you can use it anytime later that day.... a cast member gave us fastpassess with expired window times and told us we could use them later and we did.

tekmom: I'm seriously confused Most posts are saying two hours +- for another fastpass. Are you saying that your slip said you could try for another FP at 9:08 and then that one said you could get another 30 minutes later? If you try for a FP and it is not available, is there any penalty? I ask because I think I would just try to get one as I pass each ride if they are busy but obviously wouldn't do that if it meant waiting even longer. TIA. Brenda
