I'm trying to work on my itinerary and need some feedback from the pros. :earsboy:

Which is the better plan:

Do morning EMH everyday and try to leave the parks when they start to get really crowded (hop to another park)? We're early risers. Kids bedtime (5 year-old and 10 month old) is 9pm.

Or, should we just go the morning after a particular park has had evening EMH?

Here are the hours and EMH for the days I'm there:

MK 9-10pm
Epcot 9-7pm
MGM 9-9pm (Sat, Mon, Wed) 9-10pm (Sun, Tues, Thurs, Fri)
AK 9-7pm every day but Wed 9-6pm

EMH for May 21-26th
SUNDAY EVENING Disney-MGM Studios
MONDAY MORNING Epcot
TUESDAY MORNING Disney-MGM Studios
TUESDAY EVENING Animal Kingdom
WEDNESDAY EVENING Magic Kingdom
THURSDAY EVENING Epcot
FRIDAY MORNING Magic Kingdom
SATURDAY MORNING Animal Kingdom

This is our first time staying at WDW and staying a week. Our flight gets in on a Saturday, at 1:30pm.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. :earsgirl:

We're early risers too, so the emh in the morning has worked well for us. We usually try to shoot for the early deal, and then if we are moving slow use the park that had an emh the day before to pick a non-emh park. Did that make any sense?

I think so. :earboy2:

Thanks for your response.

With children the ages you have I would DEFINITELY do early entry at MK if nothing else. You will be amazed at what you can accomplish -- also another hint - -be at Toontown when it opens (typically at 10). Good to be at the rope drop if you can as the characters come out to it!

I'm leaning toward do this. Thanks for the Toontown tip. Will try to be there.

Right now my plan is:

Saturday after 4pm--Epcot (and dinner there too), hop over to MK for a bit.
Sunday--Animal Kingdom
Monday--EMH morning at Epcot (not too sure about this, we might have had
enough with Saturday's visit).
Tuesday--MK
Wednesday--MGM
Thursday--MK
Friday--EMH morning at MK and then hop to DTD for late lunch.
Saturday--Early flight home.

I'd say two parks on your arrival date is a little ambitious. Try to relax and remember you cannot accomplish everything with kids that young. They may need an entire day off without much stimulation. Get the PS's but go with the flow with your kids and don't worry about making them if it seems like too much pressure. We did half days when our kids were younger and if things stretched out and we made it until the 3pm parade, it was just a bonus. I find the whole family is happier if even the adults nap with kids and get some pooltime in (maybe not so relaxing with 10 month old). Embrace the early bedtime. At first we didn't like being forced to sleep at the same time as the kids (benefit of offsite condo instead of onsite Disney) but if you look at it as a nice chance to catch up on sleep you don't get a home, it can be nice. You are probably not looking for take it easy, lots of water and sunscreen tips, sorry! Just noticed maybe its not your first time all together but first time at WDW and staying a week.

My kids are older than yours but we still like to break MK up so I'll tell you about something we learned on these boards. Hit Barnstormer as late as you can. We had no lines for multiple rides and it was a great way to start the trip. We showed up just for a few hours of MK in the evening. We hit the right side of the park and then don't try to make it there when we arrive for MK morning. We got a fastpass for buzz and enjoyed no waits for TTA and CoP and caught the last Cinderella show in front of castle. It's nice to get right onto rides when you are excited to be there. The speedway had too long of a line but we were able to knock out Tomorrowland and head over to Toontown, lots of Barnstormer rides and toured Mickey and Minney's house leasurely. If we cared about autographs, the lines were probably less than during the day. We jumped on the train to ride it to front of park and leave. Not a lot of walking, we didn't choose anything with a line but got some rides in (train ride and monorail count for kids!) and one show down.

Ya think? :teeth:

I was thinking MK only for Wishes and nothing else.

I know what you mean about travel with two young kids. It will be our first time. My daughter will be going on 11 months at the time we go. She fights napping now, at 8 months. Who knows what her sleep habits will be like in a few short months. If I can get her on a schedule, it'll be great to get her back to the room for an afternoon nap.

I guess we won't know until we get there.

Thanks so much for the tips on Barnstormer. :goodvibes

2 parks a day isn't that ambitious. Nothing can ever top me going to MGM, MK, Ep, MGM, then back to MK all in a day to ride all the big rides on our last day there when it was HOT and it was summer! :)

You're plan the first day is exactly what I'm doing, only I'm going to AK first. MK during the night for Spectro and Wishes. It's definately do-able, if you just keep an eye on the time. Maybe try to eat dinner at MK?

Barnstormer??? I dont remember hearing about that last time we were there.. (its been a few years)
