Hi.

I've only been there one time for Day Out with Thomas.

This week we are going under different circumstances for the day. Driving up and back from Delaware.

I purchased tickets online for the train ride and museum combination.

Our train time is 12 noon. I see the museum opens at 9 am. We are hoping to tour the museum for an hour or two before the train ride.

It says I need to pick the combo ticket up at
the station.

I know they are right across the street.

Does anyone know what time the Station actually opens or Will Call for ticket pick up? I know the first train is not until 11.

Trying to figure out how to have the ticket in hand for the museum open.

The way I read it I can't pick it up from the museum.

I honestly could not find the info on the Strasburg site.

Thanks to anyone who may know!

I would call them an ask directly. If you bought the tickets online, I would think that most likely there is some kind of an option to print them at home, go back and double check to see if that is something you can do.

I have been there a number of times and you cannot print your tickets at home.

I don't know what time the ticket office opens, but I would assume it opens before 9. I would call and ask.

Thanks everyone. Yes I would have called and asked them directly had it not been the weekend and the business office was closed. I thought maybe someone here might have been in the same situation and if so great if it shed some light until today, Monday. Was a little panicky as the schedule is a bit tight this week as I am possibly starting a jury trial towards the end of the week.

As it turns out you cannot print them at home and the will call at the station opens at 10. The office told me there was basically no way for us to enter the museum on our combo ticket when it opens at 9. But then I called the museum and they said it is fine to enter at 9.

Yes, as I mentioned, you don't have the option of home printing, which is a pain. We've never made it as early as 9 am, so this hasn't been an issue for us, ;). Have fun.

Years back my Dad and I wandered the grounds way before 9 AM just to take pictures. Usually "museums" like this are pretty open to guests even before the doors open.

In other news, if your kids are Thomas fans, Percy is making his debut this September at Day Out with Thomas at Strasburg. We were there in June for a wedding and shoe horned a day in there, and the kids loved it. They're still talking about it!

One way we extend our day out in Lancaster is adding an Amtrak train ride. We go to the Lancaster station and park in the short term. Buy a ticket to. Harrisburg and a return trip. The ride is a really nice 50 minute-ish ride, and back again.

I really loved the added treat for a few dollars. Plus you register and gain their points.
