strangest thing your child has eaten...

My nephew would eat deer droppings on a regular basis . Deer are in over abundance here and it's everywhere.

When my daughter was about 10 months, old, we were sitting in the garden when I suddenly realized she had been unusually quiet and focused on something on the ground. When I got closer to her, I realized she was picking ants one by one from the grass and eating them!! At 6, she still loves the garden and its treasures, but doesn't eat them anymore!

Hope the Tag Fairy doesn't see this thread, LOL. :rotfl:

I'll try not to be too graphic, but one day when my DD was about 1 1/2 I noticed her gagging as she was walking in the yard. On closer look I realized she was gnawing on a dog terd. :earseek: :faint: After that, DH built a kennel in our yard for the dogs to go the bathroom. Oh, the joys of being a parent for the first time... :earboy2:

My son likes weird food, but the real story is my nephew.

Me and my family had already left the Christmas festivities and gone home. My nephew had been cut off from the soda, so he decided to walk around and sneek swigs from open cans that were lying around.

Well, one can didn't contain soda. It didn't even contain beer. My DH chewed tobacco at the time, and had opened up the top of the can (pushed the whole thing in) and used it as a spitter. (this can wasn't left just lying around. My nephew went into the kitchen and snatched it from the counter)

He was a very sick boy that whole night.

My nephew drank it.

My sil called last night and was telling me how my niece (2 years old) got into the fridge and was drinking a bottle of maple syrup

I can just imagine some kid, standing in front of an open fridge, chugging a bottle of mrs. buttersworth...lol...too funny!

ugh - my DH dips too...he leaves a bottle next to the computer up in our 'office'. I was at the computer one day with a bottle of water...wasn't paying attention, grabbed the wrong bottle...thank god the smell almost knocked me out.

Not a kid, but over Christmas my father in law made a sandwich out of peanut butter and green olive tepenade. I love olives and peanut butter, BUT not together on a sandwich. Gross!

Wow that's disgusting.

I'd rather have a pb and cigarette butt sandwich! :rotfl2:

When I was little I was caught eating a stick of butter under the dining room table.

My sister used to steal raw hotdogs and eat them all the time- what makes it funny is that she is a vegan now, and has been a vegetarian for over 15 yrs.

My DBF's neice loves anchoives and sardines.

And my dog ate a AAA battery, does that count? she is my baby!

Hey, I did this too! Except for the fact that I'd grabbed the sugar bowl and was dipping the stick of butter into the sugar before taking bites out of it. Apparently, when my mother asked me what I was doing, I said, "Candy bar! Want some?"

At least I was polite!! :flower:

My 2nd dd kept after me every time I opened the fridge. She wanted some "juice" The "juice" was Real Lemon juice. I told her every time that she would not like it and what it was. Finally I gave her a little bit thinking that she hate it. Well after the sour face she ended up liking it!!!!!! Then I really hate a problem because she really wanted it.

Foam!!!
DS would eat ANY kind...egg crate mattresses, bath sponges, seat cushions!!
We never could let him have any kind of Nerf ball because he would eat them. He even ate the foam padding out of his car seat.

One time I caught him pulling up the carpet in the corner and eating the pad, he threw up, and we thought all was fine. About a week and a half later we noticed this awful smell coming from his nose.
Took him to the DR., and he had a piece of the carpet pad lodged in his nose.
Most likely from when he threw up and it came through his nose! :crazy2:

So GROSS!!

My best friend at dog food. ( I told her to, but really, when did she ever listen to me before!?) I ate carpet fresh, the powder kind. it was salty and kinda sweet.(yes, I remember it) :rotfl:

so much for that.
