My family is taking a vacation to California in July, including 5 days in Disneyland. We've never been before, but we're huge disney fans and have been to WDW several times. Since we're leaving in about a month, we're starting to think about details like what to pack and my mom and I have a weird question....is it tacky to wear WDW t-shirts at Disneyland??

Only if it says "my parents went to WDW and all I got was this damn t shirt";)

Not tacky at all. My last trip I saw a few people wearing WDW gear at DL.

I sure hope not. I wore my Disneyland T's and Sweatshirts at WDW. And my WDW shirt at Disneyland.

Only thing tacky is wearing a Universal Shirt at a Disney Park. (j/k)

We wore our TOWER OF TERRER WDW world shirts and everyone got MORE excited for their Tower of Terrer to open!:bounce:

I used to work at Universal, and you wouldn't believe how many people came into the park wearing Disneyland stuff. It usually ment that these people were from out of town and were doing the whole SoCal vacation. I usually went out of my way to be more helpful and talkative to these people. When I was first hired at Universal they always tell you during training that a lot of out of towners who visit the park sometimes take years saving up enough money to come and visit the parks, and that we should always give that extra effort to make sure that their stay is even more enjoyable. I'm pretty sure the folks at Disney feel that way even moreso. Plus the fact that some cast members may have never even been to Florida and would love to be able to chat with you as to how they compare, etc. Ditto with some local residents.

My 7 year old is a huge Crocodile Hunter fan and so she got a Crocodile Hunter hat from Universal Studios. She lost it on GRR and the CMs were very helpful in getting it back to us.

You are more likely to get comments about wearing non-Disney merchandise.......my daughter was wearing a "crabby" baseball cap from Knotts Berry Farm (local rival amusement park) and the CMs loved to chide her about it. :)

My DD bought a Crew Hat at Universal Hollywood. This was super special for her as she works as part of the Crew for her High School plays. Well, she was picked to go on stage at the Sound Stage show. They ask her to take off the hat. After the show,it was the last one of the day, her hat was gone. We went back and 2 guards looked for it but it was gone. She was devisated as she had spent the last of her money. But I thought we could take the receit back to the shop and get another one. But that was the one receit we couldn't find!!

But a very nice CM in the shop felt so bad for her that he offered to use his employee discount to help her buy a new one. With an offer like that her Dad gave her the money to replace the hat. We thanked him so much!! The CM not only helped Dd but by his Kindness he gained Our Custumer Loyality!!

My wife and I went on our first trip to DL last week. I wore a bit of my WDW gear and it started a few conversations about were I was from, how did I like DL vs WDW, etc. The only comment I heard about rival park gear was a joke statment a CM said to a kid wearing a Jurrasic (sp?) Park hat on Indy.

I dont thinkit is... but buying WDW stuff at DL is. I dont really get why they have WDW stuff there. Hmm interesting...

Horizons, I wondered that myself. I wanted one of those note/photo holders that have the castle at the bottom. They had both the WDW and the DL castles and since I was at DL I wanted to make sure I didn't by the WDW castle.
