Strange Question.

I am not sure if its even been asked before... But I have a question about about Fast Pass + Magic bands and park tickets.

We are coming in on Dec 12th and staying on site at PoR we leave for our cruise Dec 15th... When we get back on Friday we are going back tot he parks. I am just going to purchase 5 day tickets with the on site package and stay offsite on our return .... Now will I still be using the same onsite magic bands for the second half of my trip or will I need to get new ones when I check out?? I hope this makes sense,reading it I think it may be a bit confusing.. I was wondering how that would work for FP+ selections would I still be able to use the APP since technically I was onsite when the tickets were booked or will I need to do so at the kiosks ?

If you have one onsite reservation you will get one set of bands.

You can use them for park admittance when you return, but not for charging back to the resort as you have no resort to charge back to.

Used to be you could book FP+ for the length of your tickets, not your actual resort stay. But I don't know if they expect those days to be consecutive. I have an annual, so I'm not up on the ins and outs of tickets. I know you will be able to use the app, because if the ticket is linked to your MDX you can use it until it is no longer valid (which would be 2 weeks after first use).

You don't get bands for staying offsite. You will only get one set of bands for your onsite stay. The bands read your MDX profile. They will read the ticket you still have linked, which will still be valid when you return from your cruise. No problem there. The only thing I can't tell you is if you will be able to book FP+ ahead of time for the days you will not be staying onsite.

I cannot see paying onsite prices for those extra 2 days when I won't need a package or else I would stay on site still.... I may end up having to, because I would not want to wait in line at the kiosks
