Strange question....ticket size

I could win an award for strange question of the day.... I'm trying to think ahead and get lanyards for everyone to hold their tickets and whatnot like we always do at WDW... are Universal's tickets the same size (shaped like a credit card)? We are staying onsite...

I guess I could also ask, do you recommend lanyards? We've loved them at Disney and on our cruises, so I assumed it would be the same with Universal. One person in our group usually wears a backpack/slingback to carry misc. items but that sounds like it may be a pain with the new regulations. The kids are big enough now that all I need is money, money and more money anyway!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, all your needed documents (ticket, roomkey, and express pass) are about the size of a credit card.

Lanyards work great! Try obtaining one that has at least one clear side. Place the express pass on that side so that the ride attendants can scan the express pass without having to remove the pass from the lanyard.

Make sure the adults also have some kind of photo ID in there as well. If you have issues with the finger scan they will ask to see a photo ID that matches the signature on the ticket.

Even stranger question.... the clear zip top pouch... should it be horizontal or vertical? I'm sure it really doesn't matter, but might as well make it as logical as I can.

I picked up the cheap clear pouch lanyards at walmart in the office supply aisle.I put my express pass so it was scanable and visible thru the clear portion of the pouch, the park ticket ( we ordered ours from undercover tourist ) ,club card for the hotel and then drivers license all in that pouch and still had room for my debit card and money

Sorry, just to make sure I understand correctly, does this mean we need to bring an ID which has our signature or just our photo will be good enough? Will it work if I take a photo of my passport with the phone? I don't fancy bringing my passport to the park. Thanks!

You'll need photo ID. Do you have a driver's license with a photo on it? I don't believe a photo of your passport will work.

I do, but I wasn't planning to bring it. Well, looks like I have to bring it after all. Thanks :)

out of all the years i have gone to the darkside (1993), only once i needed an ID.

chances are it won't be needed but it is better to be safe than sorry.

on the other hand, if you were alone for even a short period of time and passed out, your ID would help the employee/medical staff, to gain info on you.

for that reason alone, is why i do carry an Id with me at all times while in the park/on vacation.

We needed it twice last vacation. Once was during early admission and of course we didn't have it and it caused a huge issue and wasted a ton of time. It was because the finger scan wouldn't work. So next time we made sure to have it. Some people's fingers just don't seem to work properly with the scanners. My son's girlfriend always has a really tough time with hers.
