Strange Question - Music Resort To Universal?

Hello all,

I am so thrilled! My wife and I got a TEN day vacation to Disney! Whoo hoo! We are going in October. Since we were there in October, we are trying to get to the Halloween Horror Nights at Universal also. We did it before on our honeymoon and took a taxi to Universal. Unfortunately, the taxi ride was like 50 dollars each way... Whew... Anyone have any other (cheaper) ideas to get to and from the Music Resort to Universal?

Not a strange question in the least. At least a day before you want to go, dial your hotel operator and ask to be connected to Mears. You can arrange shuttle pickup; the cost is about $18 per person round trip.

if it was 50 dollars to Universal, you got ripped off. I can get a cab from my apt just outside Disney to Downtown Orlando, approximately 15 miles, and it costs less than 50. Universal is 2 exits down I4.

Anyway, your question was answered, but I like to say thanks to people for supporting Universal and their catering of entertainment for adults

You might want to call Mears and see how late their service runs between Disney.

For some reason I seem to recall that it doesn't run late enough to accomodate returning from HHNs or the late clubs at City Walk.

FYI, just a note, you will have to pay the Mears driver in CASH for your transportation.

If you wish to use a credit card, drop by the Mears desk at MCO before boarding your transportation to Disney. You can then purchase your Mears vouchers to Universal with a credit card. You still have to call Mears the night before to arrange a pickup time.

For your return to Disney (if it runs that late), call Mears 2 hours before you wish to be picked up using a cell phone, and then proceed to your dropoff location at the designated time.
