Strange Question -- BRA ???

Wow

thanks so much for all the responses everybody.

I do have a few champion bras. I like the fit initially. They get stretched out after a while. I have a really good Nordstrom one that I may try again. I have had this one for about 6 years. It is really good but now too small.

Haven't had a chance to go shopping this weekend will try today. I had a picnic on Saturday and it was my 32nd birthday on Sunday. So, now time for bra shopping.

I am looking on qvc as we speak. They look very nice. I may give them a try.

Thanks again for all the wonderful advice.

I am a 38 C (on a good day) and I cannot see how the padded push up things help make you slimmer. I usually wear the minimizer by Bali. I do not remember the name but if you go to the outlet stores it is the only minimizer that has a lace butterfly in the middle. It has seamless cups. Most of the cups I have seen in the past are moulded and I just cannot figure how they can make you look 10 lbs thinner. If I wear one with only regular "brea$t projection" (to use the techinical term) I sometimes cannot button my shirt.

Just one more vote for QVC's Breezies! These bras are the only ones that I have found that truly do wick away moisture. I went to DW in May and thought I would pass out from the heat. The only place on my body that was not uncomfortable was where my Breezies were! I don't own enough to last for an entire trip, so the days that I wasn't wearing Breezies, there was a noticable difference. I will never make a trip again without of Bras and undies to last the trip!

Do these fit pretty tru to size or if you wear a good 34 should you order a 36 to be safe. I know that some bras I wear a 34 and others a 36. (Last year I was a 32B and then went to night shift. Yep, my whole body increased in size, not just my bra size!):(

I am a full 36D and I order 36D in the Breezies support bra. This bra definitely SUPPORTS! I don't go anywhere! When I first put it on, it felt tight, but I don't know if I'm used to it now, or if they're just "broken in". If there is any question about being in between BAND sizes, I would go up!

May I suggest a reduction? I know, this is not an option for all people but I had one a year and a half ago and I am SO happy that I did. Before then I was busting out of a 38DDD (was probably bigger but could never find a bigger size) and now I'm about a D (might not sound like a huge difference but trust me it is - now I am in proportion).

Anyway, point of the whole thing. Recently found a great bra a Victoria's Secret. I know, most of their bras look great but don't fit great. You have to try the Angel Full Coverage bra. I was actually able to pick up 3 of these in kind of fun colors (red, purple, blue) decently priced at the latest semi-annual sale. I am willing to go back and pay ful price for this bra now in neutral colors.

I'm not supposed to wear an underwire because my surgeon believes that they create skin tags but even at a D you really need the extra help of the wire to keep the girls in line. The VS full coverage angel is great. Has an underwire, seamless design and a great feeling material. I suggest anyone check it out.

If you are still nursing I would recommend NOT getting an underwire... They can cause plugs. I have 4 AWESOME nursing bras (36D) that I got at a mothers specialty shop. Sure they were a bit more expensive, but they have really held up (over a year now!!) better and are MUCH more comfy than the platex nursing bras I started out with.

And as you would expect from a nursing bra (at least I would expect this!) they wick moisture away from your skin (to prevent the yeasty beasties of thrush) -- another thing the platex bras didn't do!

I would also recommend getting one of the nice ladys at the mothers store to fit you... The lady that helped me and steered me in the right direction by steering me away from my first choices. She showed me how a nursing bra should fit and made sure that I would have plenty of room even in the most engored times (but not too much if I lost weight).
