I booked ADRS for my party of 6 awhile back. I accepted the request for a highchair for my 2 year old at some of the restaurants. Now I am concerned that she won't sit in the highchair and will want a "big girl" seat. This won't effect my reservations will it?

No, it will not change anything. If they ask about a high chair at check in, just tell them that you don't need it.

You can even change your mind in the middle of the meal. The "big girl" chair will be right near by, out of the way, but easily brought back to the table. :upsidedow

That is really good to know - I did the same thing - told them that yes we would need a highchair for our 2 1/2 yr old - well 5 months ago when ressies were made - she was in a highchair!!! our trip is in 4 weeks and she is not sitting in highchairs any longer.

You don't need to worry about it. They seat the high chair in place of a chair at the table, versus just tucking a high chair into the end of the table.

This is the exact reason why high chair children need to be included in the party size. It's simply in the place of a regular chair, it's not off to the side.

Sorry but keep reading about why children in high chairs need to be counted at the meal since they are free.
