Let's see, I pulled the Verandah Man stunt refusing to get off the ship!

I tried to join the incoming DCL groups at the airports.

I placed the chocolate mints from our room around a stuffed animal.

I offered a mint to my dh for dessert and told him he could have "two if he liked" .

What about you?

I actually did join the incoming groups but for the wrong reason. Our car battery was dead, our cells were dead and no one had jumper cables. Also the security/cops said the didn't have anyway of helping us or getting in touch with anyone who could,
But I did get to walk back up the stairs again and pretend, untl I had to make the call to AAA. I was tempted o leave my family in the Parking lot and get back on board though. LOL

Calling for room service, then realizing that I'M room service - bummer!:(

Waking up in your bed the next morning and not seeing the ocean outside your window! And then having to make breakfast yourself (bummer).:(

Hearing a song that reminded me of the Disney Boat and start dancing like I am on the Disney Boat - Then looking around and realizing.......

Expected pampering and great attention to detail after disembarkation.

Didn't happen. Reality is a hard landing.

They do that on the ship???? WOW! I've only had that experience once - at tea at the Grand Floridian! I think I could get used to that!

You mean other than swaying all over the place 12 hours after getting off the ship?

Nope. Nothing else. ;)

I can relate. I couldn't figure out what to eat for days. I am still going through withdrawals and I've been back for 4 wks. Don't know when we are going back either.

Funny story about that -- my daughter is REALLY into napkin folding. Every time we go to dinner to a nice restaurant, she takes the napkin apart in steps to see if she can figure out how they made the design.

The first night we went to dinner on the Wonder, our napkins were folded like roses. She got very excited. But before she could examine and dissect it, the waiter came along, whisked it off her plate and with a snap in the air, the napkin was in her lap. The stunned look on her face was priceless. Suddenly, the waiter looked and said, oh, no, have I done something wrong? So when I explained, he went and got her several other folded napkins so she could work with them. She was happy -- and he was wonderful. Still one of our favorite waiters!

12 hours? You were lucky! Between exceptionally rough seas the first 2 days and a chest cold thing I developed as soon as we got home, I was rocking for a full week - my equilibrium was totally whacked. I got a Z-Pack and was good as gold in about 48 hours.

So, for me it had to be being back at work asking people "do you feel the floor rocking?"

Hello All..

We drive to Fla and back to NY every Year..

I have an inner ear problem that prohibits me from flying..

Try Driving a car 18 hours after a cruise..hahahahahah :boat:

I get used to it after the first 6 hours..

I am going on the August 28th Western Cruise, and My ears have gotten Worse since 1999...Doctors told me I have a 50 Percent lose in hearing..and If I turn too Fast I get Dizzy..

I know this time I will get sea Sick..Its because Of my ears..and I owned my own Boat for years...

Oh well..That means more beer to balance me out..hehe

Thats My after Cruise thought...I CANT WAIT

Bobby

We fly home on Sunday treating Saturday (disembarkation day) like a shore excursion day. Each year we do a different park. Last year we did Epcott - our middle daughter actually got land sick. I guess we pushed her too far and she lost it (threw up) on the energy ride. Luckily, I saw it coming .... so I tied a knot in the sleave of my Precip jacket and caught it all :o

she, by the way, is the same daughter who broke her arm 3 weeks before the cruise.

Bobby, even better than the beer to balance, go to the adult pool and sit on the edge of the pool with the beer!

We went out to celebrate our anniversary tonight. I couldn't figure out what the numbers on the menu meant:confused: . DS thought he could order the steak-uh no!!!!

Oh. I thought you meant strange occurences like "our little souvenir".

If you consider me walking into the Ladies Room at the MCO airport (because I lost my glasses at CC on the last day of the cruise) strange, then I guess that fits the bill, LOL!!!

I usually swayed for 24 hours after you get off the ship.
One time, right after the cruise, we went to WDW and went to the ice cream place in Fantasyland and ask for a chocolate ice cream cone and was just about to walk away w/o paying for it!!

I went grocery shopping and I had a sign that I should re-book!

I was getting some meat at the deli, the clerk punch in the code #7127. This is our room number that we have had for the past 3 cruises!!!

VM, I always think of your story when someone mentions riding the banana boat excursion!
