Hi there - I'm still on the fence, but giving serious consideration to buying into DVC after too many years of pouring money into WDW hotels! We live in FL and visit The World a few times each year so I know it makes financial sense, but I'm concerned about comfort.

We'll usually be in a studio or 1 bedroom, but will need to use both the bed and pull-out sofa. How have people's sleep experiences been on the pull-outs? Any DVC resorts better than others? And what about OKW - I know there I can just have the two beds, but how comfy are they? I'm a squishy-mattress person so a really firm mattress is just torture.

Thanks so much for helping!

Comfort is such a personal thing. Since you live nearby, why not rent points for a few trips and try the resorts you think you mike like. It's the only way to know for sure.

I agree with Carol. Bed comfort is too personal a preference to globalize. Having said that, I have found the beds comfortable and my daughters have not had any problems with the pull out sofas.

Thanks for the replies! I agree, comfort is pretty subjective but I figured if a metal bar running across the bed was common, I'd hear about it here!

The pullouts at the DVC resorts have recently been upgraded to non-metal-bar sofas.:thumbsup2 From what I hear, they're very comfortable. :)

Our 2br at SSR in November still had the bar type sleeper. I think the room number was 2710(Congress Park section, first building in that area, closest to the main buildings).
