Today the strangest thing happened to me. A few weeks ago, there was an article/advertisement/recruitment about Ricoh Imaging looking for people to act as citizen journalists to use the new Theta 360 degree camera. The images are then posted to a CNN website. There were many problems with the submission website and after about a week, I was finally able to make a submission application. After all the problems, I thought this was just a scam and asked myself, "What did I just do?" Well about an hour ago, I received a package from Ricoh with a brand new Theta 360 camera and a letter stating my acceptance! I have never had anything like this happen to me before. I'm charging the camera as we speak and can't wait to try it out. I'm thinking I will set up the camera on a tripod in the middle of a short track and get action all the way around at one time. They have awards for the best images which include a Pentax K3 with an 18-135 WR lens. The Theta camera at B & H is going for $400! This ought to be fun!!
