Strange Crowd levels predicted - why?

So Touring plans says this:
(resort) (DL) (DCA)
Wed, September 4, 2013 4 out of 10 1.6 7.1
Thu, September 5, 2013 4 out of 10 1.8 7.0

Does anyone know why Disneyland would be so low and DCA is listed so high? This seems strange to me. I have friends going those days, that's why I was checking it.

Those numbers are probably skewed because of last year's Carsland opening. At that point, the night shows probably aren't running at DL either on weekdays, so that might affect it too.

Ah, that makes sense. So I should average those a little more to get a (possibly) accurate guess? Hah. All of that sounds funny. I'll just tell them hopefully it won't be too crowded, and give them some strategies if it is. (They aren't doing park hoppers, or I'd just tell them to try switching parks... that often works for us!)

Could those be the days of planned ride closures for the setting up of Halloween decorations?

Touring Plans is not very accurate for Disneyland.

Good to know. And, no, the rides should be up until the start of that next week. I was just curious, because I have NEVER been when the numbers are skewed like that... ;-)

My understanding is that Haunted Mansion will close the last Monday of August for the Holiday overlay.

Oops, you're right. I knew that, but had kind of forgotten, because they were more worried about missing Space than Haunted Mansion, and just HM being closed wouldn't be enough to skew numbers like that! :)
