I'm looking into buying a straightening iron for my VERY curly hair. Has anyone used either the Remmington or Conair straighteners that do the wet to dry process. I barely straighten my hair bc its such a chore and damaging, so I'd like to try something that I can just straighten it without blow drying first. Does anyone have any ideas about these products?

I also have very curly thick hair. Those wet to dry straightener things NEVER work on my hair.

I got a Helen of Troy 2.5 inch ceramic straightener from Sally Beauty Supply for $45. It works great. A lot of times I wash my hair before bed, let it dry over night, briefly straighten/dry in the morning with the blow dryer, then use the flat iron.

I can't stand drying my hair. It takes FOREVER.
