I have decided to switch to a Straight Talk phone instead of the Tracfone I have been using for years. I was looking at the phone options that will work in my area and found limited selection. I was hoping to use my sis-in-laws old blackberry and buy the sim card, but the website indicated that Blackberrys were not compatible. My brother brought one of his friends who use Straight Talk with an iphone to my house to see it's coverage here and it worked well at my house. However, after looking up the iphone costs on Amazon, I thought that was too expensive. Does anyone have the Android ZTE Merrit? Are you happy with it? Is it's touch screen like an iphone or ipod? Thanks!

It is a touch screen, and works very similar to ipod touch/iphone. The SD card that comes with it is only 2 MB so storage space is limited. If you have too many apps you will run out of storage fast. Haven't tried to get bigger SD card and see if it helps, but I have the main apps I want so I am very happy with it. It has navigation on it, mp3 player and also wi-fi.

Thanks for the info. I think I am going to go ahead and buy it.
