Hey Guys,

I know Napa Rose is in a whole different league of its own for food quality, however, if given the option and after a fun Disney experience for 3 Disney loving guys, which of these 3 would you visit and why?

Staying in GCH and Storytellers is appealing, but having the characters of Goofys Kitchen is fun, even if they don't stop at your table anymore (Might change by March 21st who knows)

I currently hold a reservation for Napa Rose, but their reduced menu and lack of bread service (cmon don't pretend the bread isn't a highlight) make this seem less appealing considering the high price. Plus while fine dining is nice, it's not as magical in the Disney way?

Help, confused, thanks! :)

Are you considering Storytellers or Goofys for breakfast or dinner? There are no characters at Storytellers dinner. Breakfast is the better option there right now, though. I wouldn't do Goofys, personally. I'd still pick Napa Rose above all else. It's still a fantastic meal and they have amazing cocktails there.

I'd also consider one of the Downtown Disney restaurants. We really love Naples and Catal/Uva Bar, but if you are beer drinkers, Ballast Point is pretty good and a fun place to hang out.

Whichever we pick will be for dinner, the night before our first of 5 park days :)

Potentially leaning towards Goofy's for the novelty/fun factor, followed by Trader Sams or Craftsman for a few wind-down drinks before retiring for the night.

Sounds like a balanced plan!

My brain is trying to wrap itself around the idea of you considering Napa Rose vs. Storyteller's vs. *gasp* Goofy's Kitchen.

All I can tell you is that, to me, it would be a no-brainer to pick Napa Rose. It's one of the nicest restaurants on property, and I think would make for the perfect start to a week of park days. Plus, if you guys are thinking about a few wind-down drinks, Napa Rose pours FAR superior cocktails to those other locations.

Hey what can I say, the 3 of us are big kids. Just wish Napa had a more extensive menu atm and their delicious bread back. (i'm on a 2 month low carb leading up to it - can you tell i'm missing my bread?! haha)

I have a soft spot for Goofy’s Kitchen. The first time I took my kids and we stayed on property at DLH we had dinner there our first night before the parks. The food isn’t the greatest, although I think they have pretty great soft serve ice cream. The atmosphere is fun and can put you in the Disney mood.

I don’t think I would do dinner at Storytellers because there are no characters. I have never eaten at Napa Rose. It doesn’t seem like what I am personally looking for on a Disney trip.

Napa Rose if you don’t mind spending ~$200 per person. But it was for our anniversary…

My second favorite is now Storytellers dinner. Our first time for dinner was the December trip and it was fantastic! For the January trip we did Storytellers twice. If you’re going to do low-carb, spend the entire evening at the meat station. Salmon, braised short ribs, pork belly, prime rib melt-in-your-mouth goodness. :worship:

Napa Rose would be my #1. StoryTellers #2. Goofy's #3.

Napa is always amazing (even without bread service). I've never had a bad meal at StoryTellers. I was drastically underwhelmed with Goofy's especially for the price.
