Has anyone at at Storytellers buffet dinner? We love the breakfast and like the idea of buffet but not sure if it's any good. If you liked it what specifically did you like? And does anyone have and pictures of the buffet/food from the buffet. TIA for any info.

Edited to add its for me and DD22 so, even though we like characters its not necessary. We're more interested in good food.

It's been over a year since we did it, but it was good. There are no characters at dinner. I remember a good pasta thing and some chicken that I liked. The dinner entrees were pasta, beef, seafood and chicken, so it seemed like there was something for everyone. We made the mistake of eating from our bread basket (which was good). We got filled up too much on bread. That was a turning point for me. I started avoiding bread baskets with dinner after that.

The desserts were severely lacking. We had some parfait thing - the fact that I can't remember what all they had speaks volumes. I think there was bread pudding.

While the overall choices were good and I'd eat there again for that alone, the service was poor. Our server never offered us another drink or water throughout our meal. We never even saw her when we were hoping to order another round of drinks. If you plan to order more than one drink, you may want to order up right away.

So Tom went there last year here is the video

Here is a recent video of the dinner buffet (January)

Both seem really honest and you can see what the food looks like. Hope it helps! I love watching review videos on Disney restaurants.

Our family of four was there last summer for dinner and enjoyed it. I have one super picky eater and one mildly picky eater...both found food they liked...and dh and I enjoyed our meals as well. Our server was excellent and the atmosphere was wonderful.

We stayed across Harbor at BWPPI and when we walked into the Grand Californian to go to dinner at Storytellers my 12yo turned to me and said, "Why aren't we staying here?" I laughed and told him that it would have tripled the cost of our entire trip. :-)

We enjoyed it and ended up eating there twice for dinner on our last DL trip (2 years ago). It's pretty straightforward American food, but we all enjoyed our food. I enjoyed the theming and decor of the restaurant as well. I'd definitely recommend it, especially if staying at Grand Californian

It’s a smallish dinner buffet (if you’re used to the wdw dinner buffets it’s not like that) but higher quality. Not a bad deal at all. You can look at the selections when you get there and if you don’t like what you see there’s a full menu to order from as well.

It is expensive, but very good quality. We have eaten there several times. We have always had good service, and plenty of drink refills. My wife felt there should be more healthy options, but the kids loved the selection of food. I agree with the dessert selection. At times it is much better than other times. I find it interesting that most of the dessert options are the same that are provided when I attend catered events at the DLH.

Where did the videos come from? I’m hoping to find one for Goofy’s Kitchen...

The food is very good quality but they don' t have the selection like some buffet chains.
A good trade-off in my mind.

We had the dinner buffet a week and a half ago and weren’t really impressed. It wasn’t bad but definitely not anything we’ll go back to experience again.

We went a few years back and it was good. We are going this year in a few weeks as well. The good thing is you don't have to do the buffet. You can order from a menu too...(reiterating what a previous poster said :)

We decided just to stick to the breakfast buffet and do a QS dinner instead. We we're really impressed with the breakfast buffet so, we're just gonna stick with that. Thanks for everyone's input, I appreciate it. :)
