My wife and I has breakfast at Storyteller's yesterday at the Grand Californian Hotel. It was a very nice and relaxing meal. Food quality was probably a 7 on a scale of 1-10 (10 being highest) Breads like biscuits and french toast were tough, not soft. Hash browns were excellent. Seasoned with chili powder, or some type of red spice, they had a little kick that I enjoyed. My eggs benedict was very good as well. Characters made their way around. We saw Chip and Dale, 2 bears from Brother Bear, and the monkey from Tarzan. I saw a racoon from Pocohantes across the restaurant, but I think the Tarzan monkey and the racoon were switching off (same cast member?).
Waiter was extremenly helpful and friendly.
Overall, a very enjoyable experience! I would definitely return. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the post! I have heard great things about their breakfast but conflicting information about their dinner buffet. Have you ever eaten there for dinner?

Thanks for the report! Storyteller's is the one breakfast we haven't done, so I am glad to hear it is worth trying. Do you happen to know whether they are able to accommodate dietary needs? We went to breakfast at Surf's Up last year, and I am vegan. They were stumped as to what to do, and offered to make plain, unseasoned, steamed vegetables and plain steamed rice. It was probably the healthiest meal I had, but kind of boring, especially compared to what they do at WDW for special diets. Were there buffet items such as fruit, or vegetable dishes? Salad type dishes? Thanks!!

Fruit such as bananas, melons and pineapple were available. There were no salads or vegetables other than hash browns on the buffet. They did have scrambled egg whites in addition to regular scrambled eggs on the buffet.
