A couple of questions about this:

1. If the kids want the buffet but the adults want to order from the menu, is that okay?

2. The kids are 6, 8, and just-turned 10. Am I to understand that the 10 year old will not be able to have the kids buffet or the make-your-own pizza from the kids' menu?

3. Are drinks and/or dessert included with the kids' buffet?

Thanks!

1. Yes. ANd if the adults would like, they can add the dessert buffet to their dinner.

2. Yes, the 10yo will be charged the adult price. As far as the make-your-own pizza, they may allow it. I think my adult daughter did it.

3. Yes to both.

We ordered the "make your own pizza" tonight and there was a $3 surcharge for an "adult" just fyi.

That must be new. When we went in March, there was no surcharge for my 10 year old nephew...nor for Grandma, who also ordered the make-your-own pizza.

I ordered from the lunch menu at dinner, and that was no problem either.

I think it's a mileage may vary type of thing. Policy is that age 10 and up is an adult and they can charge accordingly. Some servers will give you an unasked for break though. When younger DS was closer to age 10, we had this happen a few times. I would even tell the server that DS was 10 or 11, and the server would say something like "my pleasure" or "he looks small" or just giving a little extra "Disney magic."

We busted up our last trip there for breakfast. The family ahead of us was being seated. It was a dad, mom, teenage daughter, and younger son. The hostess asks dad "How many adults and how many children 9 and under?" Dad says 3 adults and 1 child. Younger son pipes up quite loudly with "Dad, I'm 10!" Teen daughter looks horrified that dad is lying and quickly says "If we can't afford to eat here without lying, let's just go back up to the room..."

All that to save a few bucks...

The $3 surcharge may have been for the drink, since kids' meals usually come with drinks and when adults order them, they don't.

Both girls just drank water, so no drink. And while older than 10, they were pretty small -- one couldn't even finish her pizza.

I did appreciate that that they let them order off the kids menu -- making your own pizza is fun! Just wanted to let people know that they might have to pay more though...

We ate there for dinner on Saturday. My 11 year old DS had the make-your-own pizza and they did not charge extra. My 13 year old DD wanted the same thing, but she has a bigger appetite, so I asked if there was a way to get her a bigger portion. The waitress said the make-your-own pizza is a standard portion and they couldn't increase it, but got her a plain cheese flatbread pizza instead. My DD was okay with not making it herself if she got a larger portion!

For the others, we had 2 adults and 1 child eating at the buffet, and 1 adult ordering a quesedilla off of the menu. One of the things we love about Storytellers is the variety that allows everyone to get what they want!

Normal policy is that anyone can order from the kids' menu but anyone 10 and older will be charged an adult price and served an adult portion, we've been told this is the "double/double" policy, double the food for double the price. We've done it many times for the girls to share but not at Storyteller's, I'm glad to know they simply do a smaller upcharge for the pizza. :)
