I've been trying to find out if there is still a Storyteller in the evenings at the Animal Kingdom lodge but keep getting disconnected when I call the resort. Have any of you been there lately and know if this is still offered? If so, what time?

Also, I've read that there are occassional tours of some of the hotels. Does anyone know which hotels and when they're offered?

Finally, we wanted to take the Epcot Morocco pavillion tour when we were there in January but it wasn't offered then. Are they doing them now?

Thank you.

We were at AKL in May, and the storyteller was there. Every time we go there's a storyteller, It seems like it's about 7 pm. The resort also offers lots of other activities. Tours of african art, music, food, activities for kids, feeding times for the birds, nighttime vision of the animals, and tracking demonstrations. They give you a schedule when you check in, and times are posted in the lobby. I'm not sure about what the other resorts offer. WL had lots of activities, I think the deluxe resorts offer the most, and AKL seems to tell you more at check-in than the others

Hiya! We were at AKL in late June. There was a storytime every day (seems like anywhere between 7 and 7:45 pm), plus cookie decorating at Boma at 1:30 pm, poolside crafts at noon, and medallion rubbings around 1 pm in the main hotel lobby. Love, love LOVE that place!

Do you have to be a guest at the AKL for your child to see the storyteller etc. I know for the pool activities that you would probably have to. Thank you for any help.

are there activities on certain nights? or is every night basically the same?
We may attend the DVC party on a Thurs night
We may go offsite to Pepper Mrkt for CS dinner

Activities are posted in the main hotel lobby daily. Some activities did take place every day, others did not. But there was always something for the kids to do!

My own 2, age 6 and 5, start every 4th sentence with "the next time we go to Animal Kingdom Lodge....."

I HIGHLY recommend staying there! By the way, I stayed in room 3527, which had a view of the Uzima Savannah, Zebra Trail. Incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't believe so, since the stories are told outdoors at Ogun's Fire Pit (weather permitting). You'd just need to know when storytime was starting, and that's posted daily, as others have noted.
AKL really does a wonderful job of getting the kids involved and educating them at the same time, without it seeming like the kids are being dragged thru an "educational experience".

On one of the Disney shows on TV they mentioned that these programs (talking generally about the deluxe hotels) were available to resort guests only. The AKL one specifically mentioned the storytelling at 6pm, but it could have easily have changed during filming.

We have a 6:30 ressie at Boma, and I plan to show up early, ask at the front desk what time the storytelling is, and if my children can attend.
