We are in the parks now. We rode Storybookland canals this morning. It is pretty detailed and large with Arendelle below and Elsa's ice palace above. Oaken's trading post is there as well. I have some pictures but don't know if I can post them.

Fyi, Casey Jr. is not open today.

I am excited to see this new part. It's one of my favorite rides!!

Thanks for sharing!

Sounds so neat and pictures look great on the parks blog! I'm glad Disney put their best foot forward, looks like it was done for the long run.

They were closed when we were there a few days ago, but they were taking boats of CMs through, presumably training them for the new little "talk" portion...

It seemed pretty massive to me, but very well done. Our CM stumbled through the spiel though, both for Arendelle and other locations. I do look forward to a night ride though. It does play Let It Go in that area...I'd have preferred instrumental vs sung, personally, or even better one of the instrumental "folk" type songs that gives you the Arendelle feel.

They are prepared for crowds, extended rope and even tape queue were ready, along with a roped WC line but I never saw the line much longer than a normal busy day

Also, around 4 when we went on it Casey Jr. was running

We did this attraction yesterday (Friday, 12/19) and everything was working perfectly, including the CM's narration. Thought the Frozen scene was well done. :thumbsup2

We went yesterday morning, and I thought they did a good job. It's huge; bigger than I thought it would be. I'm sorry they got rid of the mill scene, though. I thought that it was an appropriate nod to the story, since it was pivotal in the technology Disney used for animation.

I took some pics that Tom put up on the site: http://www.wdwinfo.com/disneyland-california/disneyland-fantasyland.htm#canal

If you look at the video on the link above you can see the windmills that were there before Arendelle.

As glad as I am they didn't take out Pinocchio's village (I was thinking maybe the background mountains were those ones from the blog pics) I am sad they took the windmills too... I hope they do come back! Can't we just have everything, Disney?

I love the boats and Casey Jr.

For some reason, I take delight when the local ducks walk around the displays..... I narrate it in my head; "OH NO, the Giant Killer Ducks are BAAACCK! Run for your lives!!"

But, that's just me. :joker:

Yeah, that might bug me. That ride is so relaxing. I'd much rather here an acoustic guitar or orchestral version of that song (or better, a medley of Frozen songs) than those aggressive vocals every time.
